of course it is

Growroom Designs & Equipment

if your room is not right your not going to yeild what you want!

to start you need good power. dont want your room to look like this.
2168220_timer_done_24_-med.JPG

it should look like this
2168220_timer_done_26_-med.JPG

i dont care if you run 400 watt light or 4000 watt's you need 1 110 power line at the lest.
not just the 110 plug that all ready in the room either. run a 15 amp line just for your grow.

Anyone that has more than two 1000 watt lights in their home has probably run into the problem of how to supply power and turn them on and off. A standard 120 volt circuit in your home has a 15 amp rating, that means one light. Note: I will be using the term "120 volt" and "240 volt" to describe the two different types of circuits we will be working with only because that's the term the ballast manufactures use. They are often referred to as "110 volt" or "220 volt", actually if you measured the voltage with an accurate meter a 120 volt circuit often will be less than that an can vary. A 1000 watt light draws about 9.2 amps at 120 volts (1100 watts / 120 volts = 9.17 amps). On a 240 volt circuit the amperage is 4.6 amps (1100 watts / 240 volts = 4.58 amps), so when running multiple light systems, it's easier to wire them for 240 because you can use smaller wire.

in my case i need 2 110v 15amp & 2 220v 30 amp line's
110v
( 1 for the 110 ballast & timer. the other line for fan's,pumps, ect)

220v
( 1 for the a/c & 1 for the light's)

let's start with the 220 line.

2168220_timer_done_1_-med.JPG

2168220_timer_done_2_-med.JPG

this relay is triped by a 110 plug that plugs in to your timer to kick on the 220v light's all at the sam time you can run 4 light's on a 30 amp line but i only need 3 at this time my 4th is 110v only.
2168220_timer_done_4_-med.JPG

a short trip to the help you grow
2168220_timer_done_5_-med.JPG

to pick up this
2168220_timer_done_6_-med.JPG

12/3 15 amp 600v wire

k now that thats out of the way

k now that thats out of the way

time to move on. to even make that 220 timer work we need a 110 line for the timer/fans other ballast drill's pumps who know's all i know is i seem to fill one plug fast!

2168220_timer_done_11_-med.JPG

so all make 2! 2 plugs per line & 1 line per side of the room.

2168220_timer_done_12_-med.JPG

2168220_timer_done_13_-med.JPG

2168220_timer_done_21_-med.JPG

so lut plug sumthing in all ready

So this is why you went missing?

So this is why you went missing?

Ok I know who call when the time comes.

Can't wait to see the rest of it.

Sin:rolleyes: :D

Very well done

Very well done

I like the way you keep the electric equipment off the floor to isolate it from possible exposure to water.

Safety first.

thx
sunnyside,bartender187,Californian,Farmer John, racketeer i told you i would :p just take time with all the rest of what i have been doing.......................................................................soon
Sinfuldreams yes this is why i went missing...... :)

hope ppl will find in need of this.
the 220 timers are 50 bux at the help you grow.like this one
http://www.hydroponics.net/images/t103-timer.jpg
(& look's to be a pain in the ass to wire)
i did mine for 50 but had a fun time putting it together.
box is 9.99
relay 19.99 http://www.hydroponics.net/i/270060
plug's 3.49 ( each )
wire 1.99
ground bar 2.99
crimpring's/misc 10.00
had the timer, 110 plug, plug holders,220 wire from braker box to relay. the wire i got was the soft wire from the relay to the plugs a must its way to hard to to try to make the hard reg' romex wire work. it's hard to make the 220 hard wire to work as well. you could wire it to a plug then run a dryer plug for the relay to the 220. but that would be more money. so i just hard wired it.

Warning: Electricity will kill you, it does not care if you cry "uncle", you could be barbecued in no time. If you don't understand how this works, don't do it.

A relay works like a light switch, it connects and disconnects two wires. The difference is that instead of flipping the switch with your finger, a relay has a coil that when power is applied, it makes the connection. The advantage of this is that the coil requires only minimal current.

The problem for most of you is that you just can't go out and buy a timer that you can "plug in" four lights. I have looked at many different lighting controllers for the hydroponics industry and found that most are $200 to $300 for what amounts to a $30 relay in a box with some outlets. I know many of you like to build this stuff on your own, so I setout to build one of these with safety and low price in mind and to get as much of it from Home Depot as I could. I know that some of you have built controllers based on the Intermatic T103 timers like this one, they will work for four lights but what do you do when you have eight or twelve lights and you want them to turn on at the same time? The answer is a relay.

if you want to see how much you power bill is going to be check this.
put in your kwh's & how many hr's per day find you wattage and baaam!

here where i got most the info and plans on the 220 timer
theres a few good pic here help with the lay out a lil more

here's a few

here's a few

thing's that get pluged in right away.

plz donot toss the water from you dehu ( or a/c)
this water is 0-5 ppm. as clean as r/o.( a unit i wish i had) soon

2168220_v_1_-med.JPG

4 things i do not go with out.
ph,ppm,temp of the rez.
Temperature in the nutrient solution is overlooked and under estimated. As the nutrient solution reaches temperatures above 70° F (21° C) dissolved oxygen levels drop. In addition bacterial and fungal growth accelerates, depleting oxygen levels further. The solution becomes stagnant and root death begins. Too cool of a nutrient solution 62° F (16° C) or lower ca result in slow growth with poor nutrient uptake.
ph looks good the ppm looks good my tap water is 300 and 1000 ppm of nute's for the vegging gurls...........
my temp is a lil high but im working on a water cooler.
and the 4th........ a air pump in the rez.... i wish i had a bigger one
2168220_v_2_-med.JPG

and a few that can wait a day or 2.
(2 of the light's im waiting on 2 hood's)
2168220_v-med.JPG

this will be cleaned asap but others things need done first!

like a/c
i all ready had this in but im gonna show it anway just for fyi
this is a 25,000 btu a/c it would prob' do 10,000 watts.
it was the same price as the 12,000,14,500,&the 18,000.
so why not get it.......you dont want to have a heat prob'
keeping your room cold is very very very goooooood!
it all so helps with the humidity.
i get 5 gal's a day of great water for the back of this a/c.
2168ac_25_0001-med.JPG

Room Humidity
= Vegetation 40% - 60%
= Flower 30% - 50%

Room Temperature = 78° F (25° C) - 85° F (29° C)
(i like mine 72-74 it make under the lights about 78 )
Water Temperature = 62° F (16° C) - 68° F (20° C)

Nutrient Levels:
Seedling: 800 EC / 512 ppm
Vegetation satge: 1400 EC - 2000 EC
seed to veg 700 ppm - 1000 ppm
veg to flower 896 ppm - 1280 ppm
Flowering or fruiting stage: 1800 EC - 2400 EC
low loving plant 900 ppm - 1200 ppm
high loving plant 1152 ppm - 1536 ppm

remember there is 2 conversions of ec (.50 ) & (.64)
make sure you know your ppm reader

pH Level
= Vegetation 5.8 - 6.3
= Bloom 5.5 - 6.0

Light Levels = 50-100 watts per sq foot. ( 1000-5000 lumens)

yes i do mind pm's unless it's not on topic.
any q's you have are gonna be the same as everyone else's so i would want to answer them here so they can see as well & i dont have 20 pm's about the same thing.
i will walk anyone into anything that i can or at lest give the best answer i can take it for what is worth. [ I'M a rookie] as most of you i only have been growing for 2 yrs now but read's a lot and do the best at testing all ways as most ppl do. so with that said heres what i have next.........

cloning very very very worth doing and it was the first thing to get pluged in.
most of you have to start from seed and pick what you like from them then after all that hard work having to start from seed again....... not me!
i have only poped 10 seed's in my life and dont want to do it again what a pain in the ass. but then again thats what alot off people say about cloning........
2168clone_7_.JPG

first how to make a clone.
well once i seen rockwool. boy that suck monkey balls never used it after i seen it one time i said there has to be a better way....
well a cloner from the hydro store is a joke (299.99) or sum crazy ****

so i ask them what else do you have for clone's/seed's

they bring me this and says try it
2168brown-med.JPG

2168clone-med.JPG

2168clone_1_-med.JPG

so i do on clone's and on seed's

just min's it seem'd like ( 15 ) the clone stands right up and down
2168clone_5_-med.JPG

2168clone_6_-med.JPG

after 8 days in the dwc cloner w/no heater a few poped root's
2168clone_9_-med.JPG

when they root this small i like to put them in to the brown shit.. there was a few that need to be sexed (this is one of them)
so there going right in to flower.
2168clone_10_-med.JPG

2168clone_11_-med.JPG

2168clone_12_-med.JPG

see how there a lil yellow? dwc cloning dont like to be under 75°

2168clone_16_-med.JPG

plus the 4 i took out to sex...... speaking of sex......

this is what i sex in. at first the butter tub was a cheap dwc cloner the other is just great if you only want to sex one or 2 seed's at a time like i like to. ( i dont pop many seeds)
2168clone_63_-med.JPG

now that sex is out of the way
oO(boy was it good 3 out of 4 females)....ummmmhmmm thats how i likes it
:D

heres how the clone's look like with under 75°

2168clone_17_-med.JPG

2168clone_18_-med.JPG

so what to do when this happen??????

pull out the rest of the gurls......
oO( thats what i would do 3 of 4 just not enuff)

it about hole's as well
i have tryed about 8 size's
2168clone_24_-med.JPG

and found that 3/8"1/2" is to be the best so far.
they both hold the plant nicely. that all i was looking for.

thx toka........... i owe you for the help on most the electrical... :D
im not done with it yet :( i still need a new braker box...soon i hope i can only take one corner at a time.....but i try to be speedy :)
2168speed_om-med.JPG

so back to the story :p

with this round of clone's i put in a nice new fishtank heater...
(200watt) it's for up to 100 gal's or sumthing crazy. but it was the same price as the 150,100,75,watts like .50 cents dif from all of them so just like the a/c and light. can you really have to much?

i say yes after this.....i set the temp on it for 75°
2168clone_39_-med.JPG

2168clone_38_-med.JPG

2168clone_37_-med.JPG

2168clone_40_-med.JPG

when your stem's in the water get to hot! they become mush!
& i dont mean the kind we want to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sin* lol
btw.... on 75° it put the water at about 85°
witch is to hot for sure...... i like from 75°-80°
