Hi everyone,

Well harvest has begun !

Last Tuesday I harvested the top half of the plant. Ripeness was not perfect but the rains have started just after. I played it safe...

It is pouring now but there should be a window tomorrow Sunday when I will harvest most of the rest. It should be almost ripe then. On Tuesday the calyxes were not yet swollen, hopefully on Sunday they will be.

From Monday it should be shower upon shower, so I guess it s time to close the show !

I wanted your opinion on the yellowing leaves. I think it s natural but maybe due to insect bites too with all those orange dots ?

It s the end and she did really great !

The smell in the drying room is quite tropical like pineapple and earthy too, it s cool.

The pictures were taken just before the harvest. I love how she was opening wider and wider her side branches with the resin weight ;)

Cheers.

Well guys,

That s it ! I have finished harvesting on Sunday evening !
I could not push her any longer for the rains were coming strong. But I think she was near ready...

It should be nice. They are drying and perfuming the house ;)

Actually since last Tuesday partial harvest she s taken 30 mm of heavy rain but the buds seem to have held on, no more botrytis.
She was a tough girl !

I ll be watchful during drying and curing though because it was really wet...

I cannot wait to try her and I ll do a smoke report in a few weeks !

I cannot praise enough Dubi for these genetics, it was such a stress free and pleasurful grow. These plants are really elite. Kudos master Dubi and thanks.

The pics were taken on Sunday, a few hours before the final chop. There was a nice yellowing of the fan leaves, I like to read it as a sign of ripeness, it was surely close anyway...

Cheers guys !

I have "half" ACE's catalog waiting to be germinated for the first time in my garden, but if I run out of ZxKC... then next year ZxKC will have a spot in my garden again for sure. I just re-read my own description of effects, and today they still stand 100%, I must say that with the time it acquired a smoooooth smoke in throat, it and the delicious flavor/smell (mix of basil and african hash) I received compliments from my smokers friends every time, really potent and delicious plant with NO stone effects unless indulging a lot (I did it few times, and you just go sleeping without know how it was, but even then not much body stone), I'm pretty sure this is the best hybrid in the market, at least for the people that love sativas, this is the one.

Congrats on your harvest @terroirist 🥳 she did really well in late flowering despite the rains and not having much direct light. Lovely buds leaning Kali China side with that shape, resins and purple-pinkish hues so common in Kali China. Carrots, jasmine, tangerine and hash sounds divine for the terpene profile.
Enjoy your well deserved harvest! :smoke:

So cute so young with the Kali China shape @MrHamilton :D the one you got early this year was very nice, hope you find more interesting expressions with this new batch! How are they doing ?
She is coming along nicely, just topped this weekend. Yes, if she turns out anything like her kin, I will be a very happy man 😎 thank you again for the fine genetics.

She was a pleasute to grow. Amazing genetics for temperate latitudes like mine. Thanks again for the good work you put into her ;)

Cheers.

Got some seeds in the mail now for the spring season!

@dubi would you expect Panama Bangi Haze to heavily outcompete ZKC if put into same container? I'd also like to rerun Pangi, since it got outcompeted by ThaiChi in the last run, and i also had some problems dialing in the feeding to do her justice.

Hi @Stoneroller Panama x Bangi Haze outcompetes Zamaldelica x Kali China for yield and raw potency, although for quality of terpenes and effects it depends more on personal preference. Panama x Bangi Haze does indeed need much more nutrients in flowering than Zamaldelica x Kali China.

Probably best to grow them in separate runs then, especially because the difference in nutrients demand between them. Going to keep it simple, thanks @dubi !

3x zd x kc this run. All threw balls 3rd week of flowering. Smallest one in shade in greater amounts, gotta cut it. Gonna keep an eye on the bigger ones as they had only couple. Weird as I've never ran into this trouble , conditions pretty similar as when I used to grow. Congo and pan x pck truckin on
