Yogurt Cup Challenge

Photo of my girl in her new home.

I've had my girl in her cup and on top of several stacked buckets to get her up closer to the light and at the same level as her big sisters in the flower room so she wasn't in their shadow. So she was about four feet above the floor.
After being horrified at finding her on the ground yesterday morning when I went in for my morning visit to my girls, I decided I had to give her some support. I've lost plants after I've nursed them along for several months and I hate that feeling so I wasn't going to risk finding her snapped in half on the floor. This is her new home. Still in the cup mind you to stay within the rules but now supported. Also wanted to add her feeding schedule for this the fifth week. Measurements are added to one gallon of water. Dyna-Gro 12ml Bloom, 4ml Pro-Tekt, 2ml Mag-Pro; feeding several times a day.

good idea lemon
just make 100% sure that NO roots are going out of the yogi cup.... prune if necessary.

I had planned to do that AM. I haven't seen any sign of roots trying to pop out yet. I think the yogurt container is so full of wrap around roots, I'm sure it's thoroughly root bound at this point and any possible remaining space is filled with rock wool, that I seriously doubt that any roots could get out of the tiny holes that I drilled in it. I will check it each week to see if any roots are coming out and trim them if they are but I doubt that any will come out. Just trying to keep her vertical at this point.

Here it is, close up lower bud. Stopped multfeeds
last week, still throwing pistols but not bulking up.

Feeding once a day, 50% feed strength then reduce
to 20% before chop next week. She won't see it coming.

Well, here we have a wrap on my 2 White Rhinos, they are effectively the same, so being judged on either one is fine.

Here they are after 5 days of drying.

Just a touch under 1/3 z ....

Also, had 2 more plants in the same 'week group' of the yogi SOG ... they were not as prolific so I combined them.

So the entire week class is well over 1/2 z from the yogi SOG!

Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

Looking forward to seeing everyone else finish!

Damn nice job WC. I'm sure most people would have no idea that you could yield over 1/2z on a few plants grown in yogurt cups. That yield is pretty impressive. Congratualations.

I think the best part, is if I can keep the levels going ... that's 1/2z / week ... so 4.5z per normal grow cycle (9 week strain) with 184W CFL light. 0.68 GPW with no real tweaking to speak of.

Now I've got quite a bit of C99 in there (a 7 week strain) ... I don't expect that to yield quite as well per plant this small, but it has a quicker cycle.

Kinda fun!

That's a nice set-up. Using that small amount of light to get that kind of yield each week is impressive and I bet it is fun. That really is the point for me too because if I ain't havin' fun then I'd rather not even do it.
The nice part about this hobby is that there are so many ways to grow to suit damn near anyone's needs. A person who needs a small grow to supply themselves and a friend or loved one can do it. A person who needs a big grow op can do it. Also if you want to change it up for variety and do a different kind of grow you can do that. It's a hobby that lends itself to a variety of different styles, needs and circumstances.

My yogi girl is getting all cloudy, chop and pics this weekend!

Also I will get some comparison pics from the first yogi I did
with this cultivar from last year. Virtual side by side, so to speak.

Looking good everybody!

UPDATE:

Chop and pics will wait, plant says she's not ready.

Still in it. Week six, day 37. Everything is going well and I'll post some pics. after the holiday;although it looks exactly the same as the last photo. Normally a 65 to 70 day strain and I'm hoping it will finish a little bit earlier since it's in such a small container. I took the cup out of the larger container yesterday and no signs of roots. All growth has stopped and just waiting for it to ripen up and finish. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Fillin' out

Fillin' out

She's on week 7 day 43 and she's filling out nicely. She looks very much like a miniature version of her mother. Took a few photos of a Smashing Pumpkins concert on the tube to add some variety and for fun.

Thanks Wildgrow.:tiphat: She appears to like the hempy style with the Dyna Gro nutes. Oh by the way, the feeding schedule is going to be the same as last week's and all the weeks that follow will use the same schedule up to the final week, when I'll flush.
