people ARE still getting sick & dying. does it have to be someone you know personally before you notice? China has new outbreaks/quarantines. ditto Texas. Sweden has highest per capita deaths in world now. i guess they are SO proud of their "non-response". Virginia had highest reported infection rate on the same day they "re-opened" for business. yup, sounds smart...

it doesn't have to be someone i know, but it should be some what local, there is much harm done through locking down a nation, we don't do it for the fun of it. hence why Switzerland is opening back up, despite the fear mongering in the press. its not hard to understand, if you are still having the numbers of hospitilizations and deaths going up you obviously act different then if those numbers are down. again, consider the harm being done to peoples future through this lock down. it needs to go as fast as safely possible.

Sweden is an interesting case indeed, the more i read about what they did the more i wonder wtf. apparently they started rationing health care to the elderly even before their icu rescourses got stressed. many life saving operations were not done due to the resources being saved for a younger potential pateient. truely freaky how bad this has been for the elderly, whether coumo sending virus bombs to the care facilities or sweeden letting elderly choke to death just in case recources become tight they said. the Brits let many die out of fear of looking after them and panic, fear and lonely ness and isolation did for many more.

anyway i hope where you are gets better soon too. such a shame about your profit above everything president and health care system.

"as fast as safely possible". i'll buy that. but that is not what we are doing. trump is convinced that getting the economy going is his only path to re-election, and he gives not one small fuck how many people die in his pursuit of a second term. if the folks that enjoy licking the shit from his boots go out & get sick/die by taking his advice, he will end up on the junk heap of history where he belongs. and rightly so...

its a strange situation for sure, when i watch cnn or colbert reporting on the huge numbers of deaths still happening, i wonder whats so different about the US, or Italy, Russia and Iran for that matter why is it causing so many more deaths in some places?

The SARS-COV-2 virus seems to mutate very aggressively and has already spawned dozens of different phenotypes. Some places got hit with worse variants. Once those more-deadly variants dominate, the widespread death count will definitely rise. The level of that rise is far from certain.

What a lot of the naysayers might tell you is that the death rate is no worse than a usual flu season, but they ignore that we don't usually quarantine during a flu season. Despite worldwide efforts to be safer, it has still managed to kill this many and counting. Now that the virus has been found in brain and spinal fluids, the chances of the virus lingering hidden in the body are higher than previously believed. Until we have answers to several key questions, we may be haunted by this for a decade or more.

Those key questions include:

- Does the virus hide in tissues in dormant forms?

- How long to asymptomatic spreaders continue to shed virus?

- Does immunity to one strain give any increased immunity to other strains?

- How many other species now have a persistent infection working its way around their ranks? How many of these lines will jump back to people at some point?

- Is a broad-spectrum vaccine even possible given how much this virus seems to be able to change itself?

- Can this virus infect other viruses?

- Can this virus survive in frost?

There are so many other questions we haven't even answered yet. Unlike most viruses we deal with, this one has barely been infecting humans for a year at most; It has a lot of opportunity to learn how to selectively cull us better(viruses are killing the weak to breed better hosts after all).

this guy is out there complaining about incompetence! his executive order single handedly caused massive spike in deaths in elderly facilities.

Andrew Cuomo’s coronavirus nursing home policy proves tragic: Goodwin

https://nypost.com/2020/04/21/cuomo-coronavirus-nursing-home-policy-proves-tragic-goodwin/

The letter was heartbreaking as it recounted the death of an 88-year-old woman in a New York nursing home. But it was also angry and accurate about a strange New York policy that is *fatally wrongheaded.

“I am wondering who will hold Gov. Cuomo accountable for the deaths of so many older people due to his reckless decision to place covid19 patients in nursing and rehabilitation homes,” the letter began. “I am writing as a daughter who lost her beautiful 88 year old mother who was receiving physical therapy at one such facility.”

The writer, Arlene Mullin, went on to recount examples of the governor promising to protect the elderly because of their known vulnerability. She noted that he named his stay-at-home order after his own mother, Matilda *Cuomo, and talked several times about protecting her.

“My mother is not expendable and your mother is not expendable and our brothers and sisters are not expendable,” Cuomo said a month ago.

Mullin had another complaint, too — that the media never asked the governor about an order mandating that nursing homes admit and readmit patients who tested positive for the coronavirus, despite the extraordinary number of deaths among the elderly.

That drought ended Monday when The Post’s Bernadette Hogan asked about the policy at *Cuomo’s daily briefing. His *answer was stunning.

“That’s a good question. I don’t know,” the governor said.

He turned to Howard Zucker, the state health commissioner, who confirmed the policy, saying “if you are positive, you should be admitted back to a nursing home. The necessary precautions will be taken to protect the other residents there.”

The second part of Zucker’s answer is debatable, the first part is not. The disastrous results speak for themselves.

The state concedes that 3,448 residents of nursing homes or adult-care facilities are known to have died from the coronavirus, or nearly 25 percent of all deaths in New York. More than 2,000 of the total are in the five boroughs, and officials acknowledge that the real numbers are almost certainly higher.

The New York policy is especially odd given that the first large outbreak of the virus in the United States took place in a nursing home. The Life Care Center in Kirkland, Wash., attributed 13 deaths to the virus before March 11, and at the time, the number represented 60 percent of all the fatalities in the nation. Since then, at least 24 others have died there.

That same week, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, urged that special attention be given to seniors. “It’s so clear that the overwhelming weight of serious disease and mortality is on those who are elderly and those with a serious comorbidity: heart disease, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, respiratory difficulties,” Fauci told the American Medical Association. He said there would always be exceptions but that “if you look at the weight of the data, the risk group is very, very clear.”

Indeed, early reports from around the world showed that death rates from the virus soared with age. Among those who also had other major health issues, the rates were off the charts.

For example, a study released in Italy on March 17 found that more than 99 percent of 355 coronavirus fatalities there suffered from other health issues. The average age of those who died was 79.5 years.

Thus, it was well known that the elderly were easy targets for the coronavirus before New York adopted its Health Department directive on March 25 requiring nursing homes to accept those with the disease.

Zucker’s Monday defense included his claim that the state is working with such facilities to protect other residents and health care workers by providing equipment and monitoring.

Assemblyman Ron Kim, a Queens Democrat, harshly dismissed the claim as false.

“It’s either he’s lying or they have absolutely no idea what’s *going on on the ground,” Kim told The Post.

For her part, Arlene Mullin is not satisfied. In an interview Tuesday, the Long Island educator said she has sent four emails to Cuomo’s office on the issue but has never received a response.

“I get it, it’s a crisis,” she said of the pandemic. “But I really want to know why the governor would put that population at such risk.”

Her mom, Diana Mongiello, a great-grandmother, was in a rehab center that had accepted coronavirus patients when she developed a fever on April 5. At 8 a.m. the next day, a nursed called to say Mongiello tested positive. Five hours later, she was pronounced dead.

When I told Mullin of Cuomo’s answer — that he didn’t know about the policy — she was silent, then wondered:

“What the heck were they *thinking?”

She still deserves an answer.
Hizzoner putzering around

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s streak of being worse than useless continues. Having nothing to do and little to say, he’s resorting to stunts to try to get attention.

First he put out a nutty request for New Yorkers to snitch on those who don’t follow social-distance rules. The result was a deluge of middle fingers, penis pictures and profanity, The Post reports.

Then he tried to invoke a headline from the 1970s, when the city needed a federal bailout. “Mr. President, are you going to save New York City, or are you telling New York City to drop dead?” It’s safe to assume nobody under 50 understood the reference.

Tuesday, he vowed that New York is going to throw a ticker-tape parade for health care workers. He said it will be “the first thing we do” when the pandemic ends.

Prediction: His next demand will be that the feds pay for the parade.
Biden’s bizarre veepstakes

Like pretty much everything else with Joe Biden, the campaign to become his running mate is getting weird. Stacy Abrams, who lost the Georgia governor’s race, is openly pushing for the spot, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren didn’t hesitate with her “yes” when asked if she was interested.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s name keeps coming up, but there is one person in a class of her own: Michelle Obama.

Party regulars, in a fit of nostalgia, are pushing to get her on the ticket and Biden himself said he’d take her “in a heartbeat.” Al Sharpton says he prays the former first lady will say yes.

So far, though, Obama is sticking to the vow she made in her 2018 memoir. “I have no intention of running for office, ever,” she wrote then.

For Biden, the rejection is par for the course. Many people want the spot, just not the one he wants.
From Reuters

The World Health Organization said on Tuesday that all available evidence suggests that the novel coronavirus originated in bats in China late last year and it was not manipulated or constructed in a laboratory.

Translation: This is what China told us to say.

I am not sure what all that rant was supposed to say is....

One should weigh all the fact before forming an opinion.
That includes facts that may seem far fetched.
Weigh all the facts before forming a conclusion is the intelligent thing to do.

If you choose not to that is up to you.
If after all the sources you still feel youtube is not bias, their may be no reaching you.

If you feel you know better, no need to find truth or search for real world fact.

You already have your mind made up.
There is no sense in talking with the closed minded individual.
No mater how rational your argument is, they refuse to hear it.
This is quickly becoming a waste of time.

You already know it all.
Maybe you could advise us all here, since you say we are so lost.
Give it a try.

Lockdowns failed to alter the course of pandemic and are now destroying millions of l

Lockdowns failed to alter the course of pandemic and are now destroying millions of lives worldwide

  • JP Morgan research said infection rates had fallen since lockdowns were eased
  • It suggested the virus 'has its own dynamics' which are 'unrelated' to lockdowns
  • Report said they were imposed with little thought of 'economic devastation'
Coronavirus lockdowns have failed to alter the course of the pandemic but have instead 'destroyed millions of livelihoods', a JP Morgan study has claimed.
Falling infection rates since lockdowns were lifted suggest that the virus 'likely has its own dynamics' which are 'unrelated to often inconsistent lockdown measures', a report published by the financial services giant said.
Denmark is among the countries which has seen its R rate continue to fall after schools and shopping malls re-opened, while Germany's rate has mostly remained below 1.0 after the lockdown was eased.
The report also shows many US states including Alabama, Wisconsin and Colorado enjoying lower R rates after lockdown measures were lifted.

Author Marko Kolanovic, a trained physicist and a strategist for JP Morgan, said governments had been spooked by 'flawed scientific papers' into imposing lockdowns which were 'inefficient or late' and had little effect.
'Unlike rigorous testing of new drugs, lockdowns were administered with little consideration that they might not only cause economic devastation but potentially more deaths than Covid-19 itself,' he claimed.

he JP Morgan report includes graphs showing that 'the vast majority of countries had decreased infection rates' after lockdowns were lifted.
Infection rates have continued to decline even once a lag period for new infections to become visible is factored in, the report says.
A second graph shows a similar effect in the US, showing that many states saw a lower rate of transmission (R) after full-scale lockdowns were ended.
They included Colorado, Iowa, Alabama, Wyoming, Wisconsin and Mississippi, according to the chart, although not all states are included.
Nevada and North Dakota are among the exceptions which appear to have had a higher rate of transmission since normal life began to resume.
The R rate shows how many people each virus patient typically infects, and some countries regard a rate below 1.0 as a key indicator that the epidemic is in retreat.
'While we often hear that lockdowns are driven by scientific models, and that there is an exact relationship between the level of economic activity and the spread of [the] virus - this is not supported by the data,' the report says.
'Indeed, virtually everywhere infection rates have declined after re-opening even after allowing for an appropriate measurement lag.

This means that the pandemic and Covid-19 likely have [their] own dynamics unrelated to often inconsistent lockdown measures that were being implemented.'
Those dynamics may be influenced by increased hand-washing and even weather patterns but seemingly not by full-scale lockdowns, the report suggests.
'The fact that re-opening did not change the course of the pandemic is consistent with studies showing that initiation of full lockdowns did not alter the course of the pandemic either,' it says.
An Oxford University professor has previously suggested that the crisis in Britain began falling from its peak before Boris Johnson ordered a lockdown on March 23.
Professor Carl Heneghan said last month that the peak of new cases had come on April 8, suggesting a peak of infection three weeks earlier around March 18.
The JP Morgan analysis linked the decision to impose lockdowns to 'flawed scientific papers' predicting millions of deaths in the West.
'This on its own was odd, given that in China there were only several thousand deaths, and the mortality rate outside of Wuhan was very low,' it says.
'In the absence of conclusive data, these lockdowns were justified initially. Nonetheless, many of these efforts were inefficient or late.'

Fauci & Gates Funded COVID Vaccine, Now Bad Data Surfaces…Will You Submit To Take It?

by Court AndersonMay 19, 20202 3115

Screen-Shot-2020-05-19-at-11.54.16-AM-1024x759.png
Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Donald Trump. Image: YouTube Everyone, it seems, is excited.
“mRNA-1273”, a COVID-19 vaccine produced by Moderna Therapeutics of Cambridge, MA, has cleared its first hurdle in testing. As hoped, all 45 participants in the initial trial produced antibodies to the virus after receiving the drug. Phase 2 testing is estimated to be complete by July.
The market loved the news. The Dow rocketed up over 900 points yesterday. Finally, a nonpartisan reason to celebrate. Or is it?
We had a pretty good reason to believe things would play out this way. Back in March, CDMedia reported the following:
Who will sell that vaccine? Very likely Moderna, a biotech funded by, you guessed it, the Gates Foundation. They have been studying coronaviruses for some time now. You could say they have a head start. They also work on HIV drugs like the kinds that have been found to be effective in treating COVID-19. One of the four drugs being fast-tracked by the WHO just happens to be made by…Moderna.
It looks an awful lot like the same folks who may have infected the world are now seeking to profit from the cure.
Moderna is funded by Dr. Anthony Fauci’s NIAID, and Bill Gates, via one of his acronym vehicles, CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations). Gates and Fauci officially began to fund coronavirus vaccines in January, but Gates has been funding Moderna since 2016, when he granted them nearly $20 million for virus research, but that time it was through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).
Image-1.jpg
When it comes to Fauci and the NIAID he has headed for nearly 40 years, the funding is a little trickier. As a federal employee, Fauci isn’t going to waltz into a private lab with a game show-sized check. Part of Fauci’s job is to maintain a veneer of professionalism in the transfer of funds from the public to private sector.
Solution? More acronyms. Acronyms are shields from scrutiny. The groups behind them are bureaucracies steered by interested parties, collaborating to achieve grand, if often vague, goals.
After 9/11, a great many such institutes, departments, and associations were formed. It was, if not the birth of the “deep state,” the radical deepening thereof. One large piece of the puzzle was Project BioShield. Congress passed the Project BioShield Act in 2004. Its mandate: to study and prepare for biological warfare. The U.S. has spent over $50 billion on the issue since the passage of the act.
One of the many provisions of the act is to align the Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) with the National Institutes of Health (NIH). One arm of the NIH is the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Disease (NIAID), headed by Dr. Fauci.
Screen-Shot-2020-05-19-at-3.35.29-PM-1024x613.png
Bill Gates. Image: YouTube When it comes to grantmaking, that’s done by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), which is a division of HHS. The NIAID (Fauci) and HHS then petition BARDA for funding for private sector labs such as Moderna.
These government employees, hidden beneath a pile of acronyms, are kingmakers. When they grant funds to a lab for research, fortunes are made and lost in the stock market.
Guess who used to run the clearing house for all the Project BioShield money? Rick Bright, the latest “whistleblower” who made a splash last week after testifying to congress that he was squeezed out of his post due to his lack of support for hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), the inexpensive, widely available, time-tested drug that threw a wrench into the profit machine of Big Pharma.
Bright claims he was forced out for not promoting HCQ. I trust the other side of this argument will be that Bright was insubordinate in order to promote the Moderna vaccine (and Gilead Sciences’ drug Remdesivir).
Bill Gates was funding Moderna since 2016. Then, in January, Fauci and Bright selected Moderna to be one of a handful of labs to pursue a vaccine, and voila, Moderna wins the race. A stock that traded below $20 as recently as February briefly broke $80 per share yesterday.
Fauci likes to keep a close eye on his investment, and the results. So the second part of the deal with Moderna is that the NIAID “partnered” with them to develop the vaccine. Fauci’s scientists are collaborating with Moderna’s to make sure the testing is done in-house, the same process used with Gilead Sciences and Remdesivir.
Then Fauci steps to the microphone and gives his seal of approval in a press conference, despite a lack of a large, independent, double-blind trial. And no one questions this inequity, this because-I-said-so science.
And what’s this? It turns out that Moderna withheld some key evidence in its first trial, as reported by Bloomberg News. The stock market crashed into the close, erasing a day of solid gains. Moderna is back down to $71.67 and investors are scratching their heads. The missing data will be released “at a later date,” according to a spokesperson.

It appears that working in secret conditions with federal scientists with a political agenda can produce bad data. Perhaps an independent group of scientists should look at the Moderna study, and the Gilead Sciences/Remdesivir one as well. After Fauci is fired.
It all boils down to this, dear CDMedia reader: based on what you know about Gates and Fauci, will you take the vaccine they plan to have ready by year-end? A vaccine for a disease they funded? A disease created through controversial gain-of-function research in China?

yes Bill Gates knows where to invest his money to make himself richer. he's been funding the who to allow him to do his shady buisness where he get african and Indians to agree to mass vaccinate everyone using companies he finaces. the trouble is some nations have kicked him out for pushing vaccines that sterilized woman. hes not a doctor, so no idea why we should let him control the who with his billions.

by the way, telling someone to fuck off is a violation of the rules on civil debate, so if your post containing that kind of nasty stuff is missing don't be surprised.

If your neighbor keeps telling you you're dandelion weed roots are going underground and infecting his lawn, should you "be fair" and keep listening to his stupidity or tell him to fuckoff?

tell him to fuck off. dandelions DO NOT spread by their roots like bamboo does, for example. they spread solely by the seeds their pretty yellow blooms turn into.:tiphat:
