Day F49
Day F49
Hello AlterEgo860. No, that plant is not pregnant but it is finishing prematurely. It was the first to bud up but I think the real culprit is overfeeding. I have a couple of plants with very dark green leafs (darker than expected) and some have lighter colored leafs showing signs of nute burn. I was feeding them 25ml PBP per gal (as per the instructions on the bottle). I don't have an EC meter but IC OVO has informed me that 10ml per gal PBP translates to about 1200ppm and I've been feeding more than double that.
Although it's late in this flower cycle, I gave them a feeding of straight water and will lower the nutes to 10ml/gal until final flush. My plants didn't stretch like I expected and I'm thinking this is a result of overfeeding too. All of this being said, I'm still expecting a decent harvest, and plan to have the next crop (clones) dialed in much better.
I'm gonna scope the trics on the premature plant this weekend. Looking at the pistils it looks like the plant is almost finished but looking at the buds, they look smaller than they should. I expect this plant will be chopped within 10 days.
So, from this we can conclude that I'm a slow learner and I've been torturing my plants with kindness. I'd better smoke a big fatty to help ease my conscience.
