'll tell you what has ruined Florida bringing so many people in,In a word air conditioning.When I was five Florida was beautiful as hell and not crowded with snowbirds like it is now.I still wouldn't live anywhere else,I could make a big list of why its great to live here.I started growing in this house 15 years ago.A good state IMO and the outside grows man those are some big beautiful girls.Wish I had the property and the balls.

You are correct sir! I remember as a kid only the rich had AC units and they were like a window shaker for a bedroom.
The older homes like mine had tile roofs, CBC construction and high jalousy windows. Run a fan and you were somewhat cool.
When central air was available cheaply to the masses our state was overwhelmed with subdivisions and retirees in droves.

truth. Florida may not be what it should, but they are trying. my state is full of true believers in the "gateway" theory. at least, the politicians here are. the average little old man/lady on the street KNOW better, but that does not mean shit to politicians that lick money off the heads of big pharmas/prison investors/police associations dicks...
