Although IMHO, there is much better reggae out there than Bob.

Impossible!

There is no "better" reggae then Robert Nesta, there is no better rock and roll then Elvis, there is no better voice then Frank.

There is just other very good music..

i used to listen to marley every day, now, not so much. used to be less high strung, maybe i should. ive made the observation lately that most of my music these days is not positive, or even friendly.. :biglaugh:

Oh yes, Talkin' Blues is great one !
Definitely Legend is only a fraction of Bob Marley's work. And the most commercial one. Older version of the same songs are definitely much better ! The very early of Bob's reggae is mind blowing !

Favorite ONE? That ain't fair. There's so much Marley to love.

Here's my favorite five for today, in no particular order. Tomorrow they might be different.

1. Babylon System
2. Redemption Song
3. Small Axe
4. Trenchtown Rock
5. (what else?) Duppy Conqueror

There's lots of great Jamaican music out there, but better than Bob? Not for me.

Really, I have no favorite song. Some of my favorite recordings are of his late 70's shows - there's a really good recording of him in Japan (hehe, he actually says arigato at the end.) and there's a sweet DVD of him playing in Santa Barbara in 78 i believe.

Oh man... what I would have given to be at the Berkeley Greek when Bob played in 78...
