lol, at one time Communism/Socialism WAS that "something new", sounded like a good idea at the time, until it wasn't!;)

Ive not seen that here in the USA in my 66 years .. Its been Dem or Rep BS all my life.. Most see the word Socialism and have no clue what that would mean here in the USA. They have no clue the USA is already partly a Socialist country for the wealthy .

Yes that´s the problem right? a lot of people want something new but don´t know what that `new thing´ should even look like. And being middle ground (or as I like to call it: just intelligent- as in a solution that works in modern society) seems too extreme as well.

And there´s other people that are too afraid of anything new or that only slightly differs from what we have come to know as the norm.

........ and Hammer, I'm fine with the USA being a partly Socialist country, health, education, etc. 'free' to all who pay into it through taxes, or not.

.................. I'm older than you but I can remember communism/socialism being discussed often around the dinner table after a few Scotch's in the early '50's, it was a real big deal back then and earlier, starting in the 1930's at least.

I never understood why it was a problem 'cause it seemed like a good idea .......... to an inexperienced child. :tiphat:

Sad to say but in this election race is directly or indirectly the issue as the current DNC power holders have chosen to make it an issue by actively supporting #BLM (as stated on their website) and #BLM (as stated on their website), directly or indirectly supports Black Nationalism, Black Power (raised, clenched black fist logo), and Black Pan-Nationalism, which are all Socialist in nature:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_nationalism

Black nationalism is a type of nationalism or pan-nationalism which espouses the belief that black people are a race and seeks to develop and maintain a black racial and national identity.[1] Black nationalist activism revolves around social, political, and economic empowerment of black communities and people, especially to resist assimilation into white culture (through integration or otherwise) and maintain a distinct black identity.[1]

Black nationalism arose within the African-American community in the United States. In the early 20th century, the Garveyism promoted by the U.S.-based Marcus Garvey furthered black nationalist ideas. Black nationalist ideas also proved an influence on the Black Islam movement, particularly groups like the Nation of Islam founded by Elijah Muhammad. During the 1960s, Black nationalism influenced the Black Panther Party and the broader Black Power movement...... :dance013:

I can tell you’re suffering from the lack of white leaders.

We are in the minority.. Most think if we went to Dem socialism it would be like Venezuela or some kind of disaster, which is prob true but for specific reasons. It has more to do with our people than the GOV.

Here we would need high levels of social trust, a robust work ethic and considerable social cohesion for it to work. Theirs Way to many people here that would fail at that for it to succeed. People here are just to greedy. Corporate America will never give up there power. What ever someones politics are it shouldn't bring so much division and hate. I don't put my faith in any politician. There gonna do what they want after elected. Our history should prove that. Making life better for us peasants will be wishful thinking.

See the Fed inject trillions of dollars into the market during a pandemic to transfer even more wealth to the top 1% for proof.

The rich always get the most benefit from everything our gov does. They like hiding it in there lengthy bills with congressional language so we don't know about it.

Ya didn't know that?

Lobbyist should be recognized as a "terrorist organization". But, as long as you have politicians, you will have lobbyist. BTW, lobbyist only look at their bottom line. They don't give a shit of what's above and certainly don't give a shit of what's below!

What I saw several years ago was the 'new' DNC spokesperson saying "We'd like to see an African American for that position" when asked what candidate they'd like to run for the Presidency.

...... and the only reason I saw/heard that lil tidbit of overt racism was that I happened to be watching something boring at the right time 'cause it was quickly buried.

........... but when it came time to choose (lol) a VP candidate it was much more obvious, they said they wanted a Black female picked and they got it.

I don't go to Fox News, maybe they covered it, but from the Liberal MSM, no comment, no criticism, nothing but crickets! :whistling:

 Can you imagine the uproar if the RNC had stated "We want a White candidate to run"?

It was the BLM who demanded a black woman as biden's VP candidate. They were probably told to say that by soros, but there it was. BLM made joe's choice for him. So he picked the woman who only had 1% dim support, and if he wins she will be the president as soon as he is removed or quits.

Also, I might add:

The more people call each other names and say horrible things about each other, the more difficult it becomes to reconcile.

Saying, "Well, shit, it looks like I was mistaken about that." hard as it may be for some people, is much, much easier than having to say, "Well, shit, it looks like I was mistaken about that... And I'm sorry for calling you a Nazi, a white supremacist, accusing you of doing violence to black people, etc."

The more you spit on other people and pretend that they're monsters, the more difficult it is to reconcile, and the easier it becomes to double-down even when you realize you were wrong -- because not doubling down means you have to apologize for all the extra stuff you did.
