Pinellas County deputies said the man told them the syringes weren't his and he doesn't know how they got there.
Deputies say a man had three syringes in his rectum while being searched at the Pinellas County Jail.
When Wesley Scott, 40, pulled the syringes from his rectum, deputies said Scott told them they were not his and he didn't know how they got there.
Scott had just been arrested on a warrant for a previous drug charge. Deputies say he's now facing an additional charge of introducing/possessing contraband in a county detention facility

Woman steals credit cards, buys winning lottery ticket, gets arrested, police say
A 33-year-old woman hit it big in the lottery, but ended up on the losing end when the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary charged her with theft of a credit card used to purchase the winning ticket.
The woman was arrested when she tried to claim the winnings at Atlantic Lottery's office in St. John's. She now faces two counts of possessing a stolen credit card and five counts of fraud.
It all started last Wednesday, when police were called by a man who said his wallet was stolen.
His credit cards were used to make several purchases at stores in Paradise, including a lottery ticket that police said won "a large amount of money."
Police won't say precisely how much was won, but the woman didn't receive the money.
She was charged Thursday and released to appear in court.
As that investigation was happening, the RNC stopped the vehicle the woman had been a passenger in. A woman, 46, who was behind the wheel was ticketed for driving with a suspended licence and without insurance.

The organization called Acreage Holdings with John Boehner (former US House Speaker) on the Board of Directors, submitted a 30 second commercial expressing the value of families having access to ‘Medical Marijuana.’ It was not a commercial for any brand.
Perhaps needless to say, it was rejected. The NFL was not about to go against the dictates of the U.S. Federal Government; they know which side their bread is buttered.
A writer for Forbes Magazine, Mike Adams, said that their commercial does not represent what is actually happening with cannabis in the U.S. right now and I agree. He asserts that it is what’s called ‘adult-use’ (Think: getting high) that is exploding across the nation, not medicinal use. Yup, that’s for sure.
The writer also cites a recent Wall Street Journal Op-Ed, “If Weed is Medicine, So is Cannabis “ written by Dr. Peter Bach, a pulmonary physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. His claim is that if alcohol, like marijuana, helps someone experience less acute pain, both being intoxicants, then “if weed is a pain reliever, so is Budweiser.” [1]
Ah, I don’t think so but is it really any wonder?
I doubt most people know that it is the liquor control authority in each of the legal 10 states and DC for adult-use, that regulates cannabis.[2] In other words, the folks that brought you all the alcohol you could ever want, now bring you your cannabis. And we know how that has turned out for many of our friends and family.
As far as I can tell, such regulating bodies have but one thing in mind: increased revenue. So the more stoned you stay the richer liquor control boards get via their often exorbitant taxation on retail products (37% in Washington State, for example).
Translation? Using cannabis for health, Medical Marijuana, (the government name, not mine), just doesn’t make the big bucks, and apparently for credibility reasons. No problem!
A silver lining grows exponentially as we speak. Those of us who understand cannabis as a plant of many healing benefits, when used medicinally and holistically, are creating our own parallel universe: a sphere of influence, worldwide, made up of collaborative practitioners and users sharing and updating everything we know about all the ways to use the plant for non-toxic healing of the body, the mind and the soul.
Trust me; it’s way, way different than alcohol.

The much shorter length microwaves used for 5G will make it possible to use small phased array antennas to send and receive signals.

Even though it will be possible for a single rocket to put multiple satellites into orbit, we are still talking about a 10 or 20 fold increase in environmental damage over what is being produced today.

Mercury-based rocket fuel could spread neurotoxins over the Earth

All the hazardous materials in the satellites will be released into the air and will float down to the ground as dust or in droplets of rain.
Telecom companies are creating a worldwide disaster in the name of technological progress
5G is promoted as being the next great wonder in the plan to advance technology to create smart cities where everything and everyone is instantly connected in real time with no lags or lost signals.
Of course there will be a few costs.
Everyone will be irradiated with millimeter-size, non-ionizing radiation 24 hours a day with completely unknown health effects.
Studies designed to investigate harm from 5G will be completed many years after the 5G systems on the ground and in space are fully implemented.
At that point it is very unlikely that telecom companies would dismantle their systems even if it is shown that their technology is causing cancer and other diseases. They would just deny the risks.

The risks of an environmental catastrophe are monumental, because if there was a malfunction and one of these engines exploded, highly toxic mercury would be spread through the atmosphere and over the Earth.
All the talk from telecom companies about 5G being a panacea for environmental protection and energy conservation is quite ridiculous when we think about the environmental damage that will be created by any of the rocket engines they choose to use for launching their satellites.
Space junk will pollute the Earth
Each satellite will be the size of a small refrigerator and will weigh approximately 880 pounds.
With a life expectancy of only 5-years, this means there will be a massive amount of space junk orbiting the Earth.
Eventually, all those satellites will fall down to Earth and will burn up as they enter the Earth’s atmosphere.
All the hazardous materials in the satellites will be released into the air and will float down to the ground as dust or in droplets of rain.
Telecom companies are creating a worldwide disaster in the name of technological progress
5G is promoted as being the next great wonder in the plan to advance technology to create smart cities where everything and everyone is instantly connected in real time with no lags or lost signals.
Of course there will be a few costs.
Everyone will be irradiated with millimeter-size, non-ionizing radiation 24 hours a day with completely unknown health effects.
Studies designed to investigate harm from 5G will be completed many years after the 5G systems on the ground and in space are fully implemented.
At that point it is very unlikely that telecom companies would dismantle their systems even if it is shown that their technology is causing cancer and other diseases. They would just deny the risks.
They will tell us that the science was settled decades ago. They will tell us that evidence linking 5G to cancer and other diseases is just a conspiracy theory that only a few crackpots believe.
Millions of people will suffer from radiation exposure with symptoms such as headaches, weakness, brain fog, impaired ability to learn and reason, chest pain, and numerous other symptoms that will baffle most conventional physicians.
There is nowhere to hide from 5G radiation
Today, it is possible to live in a location that has reduced levels of microwave exposure. This is accomplished by choosing a living space that is far away from cell phone towers.
However, in the near future, it won’t matter where we live, because 5G will irradiate us wherever we happen to live or work.
Cities can’t say no to 5G implementation
FCC regulations have been structured in such a way that local municipalities cannot stop telecom companies from installing 5G. They are specifically prohibited from trying to delay or stop 5G implementation on the basis of health concerns. Their only recourse is to try to make the ground-based 5G system somewhat more esthetically pleasant.
Based on what has been happening around the country, telecom companies are sweeping aside local resistance and gaining approval for their 5G systems in rapid succession.
Can 5G implementation be stopped?
As far as I can tell, at this point, the only way that 5G will be stopped will be by congressional action. If enough people raise a stink with their elected officials, then perhaps 5G could be put on hold while studies are done to examine the true health risks.
Telecom investment in 5G has been massive. They are planning full implementation on the ground and in space in the next couple years. The time to object is now and not after hundreds of thousands of people become sick.

DENVER (Reuters) - A Colorado jogger strangled a juvenile mountain lion in the foothills of Horsetooth Mountain northwest of Denver, acting in self-defense after the predator attacked him, authorities said on Tuesday.
The man, who was not identified, survived the life-and-death struggle in the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, a mountain park less than 70 miles (110 km) from Denver, officials said.
The man was running on a trail when the juvenile cougar attacked him from behind, biting and clawing his face, back, legs and arms, state and local officials said in a joint statement late on Monday.
During the struggle, the man strangled the wild animal with his bare hands, Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman Rebecca Ferrell said by phone on Tuesday.
“There was some wrestling going on and the cat did latch onto his arm but he was able to choke it,” she said.
The size of the cougar was unclear, Ferrell said, because other animals fed on the carcass before wildlife officers arrived. But it is believed it was a male.
The runner went to a hospital, officials said, with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
The remainder of the animal’s body was recovered near the trail, where the jogger had dropped some possessions, and taken to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife lab for a necropsy, officials said.
“The runner did everything he could to save his life,” said Mark Leslie, CPW Northeast Regional Manager. “In the event of a lion attack, you need to do anything in your power to fight back, just as this gentleman did.”
Mountain lion attacks have caused fewer than 20 fatalities in the United States in the past 100 years. Sixteen known attacks have occurred in Colorado since 1990, officials said.
“Mountain lion attacks are not common in Colorado and it is unfortunate that the lion’s hunting instincts were triggered by the runner,” Ty Petersburg, area wildlife manager for the CPW, said in a statement. “This could have had a very different outcome.”
