Very interesting luvsaduck... I have some blue sat 2.2 that I got as freebies before... Haven't planted them yet though...
it would be rare to see ,indeed am keen to think similar with respect to some fellers or ladies of oz to voyage such migration and such to acclimate within the islands and within the care of loving gardeners of pokololo
I have come to similar conclusions myself. Except the other way. I think one possibility is that the genetics were smuggled into northern australia via light aeroplane or sailing vessel. Both were operating in the 80's and 90's in north queensland, and strawberry web had been around the hawiian islands since the 70's. Any research I have done shows no evidence of Ducksfoot in Australia prior to the late 80's.
this moments am think bluesatellite or some such blue variety at when put to ducksfoot within initial generation to exibit webbed traits
Wally has done this cross several years back, used blue satellite 2.2 i think. This is the line my form of webbed plants originates from. Wally has said somewhere before that the F1's dont normally show webbing, however I swear I have seen it. Not much though, maybe 1 in 10. This may depend on the strenghth of the parent genes?
hey foe20,aloha Donald?wally?...hey man really great work with this whole line man..
were you the man who discovered this breed?...do yo have a thread on the discovery and all?....
Its very very unique...Im a total herb fanatic and these lines have interested me for a long time..But its strange how they sort of find us as well...
I wasn't trying to impose the ideas of these all being related but sure seems like DFoot(Aussi) is the point of origin..
anyway fellas..aloha and I'll post more a lil later when shes lookin like a well grown lass..keep rollin

FOE20The Kahili is kinda a "mutt" I concocted here last Winter
It came originally from a Webbed Hybrid (Ducksfoot x HWI) F2 attempt that went awry back in 2002 or so.
Awry because the progeny didn't come up webbed -
I suspect a nanner off some Maui Girl sativa females in the proximity did the number - but was just monstrous.
Anyone remember "the webducks that ate the lab" in the GGE by bidferit from OG back then?(Garden of Good & Evil)
Anyway, fast forward to the Fall of 2009 and I try popping some of those old webduck beans and they came up! At the same time I had tried popping some old Webbed Hybrid F3 beans that produce a stout, webbed male.
Crossed those 2 and ended up with a fairly decent webbed generation of webducks. So I get a beautiful webduck female last Summer with the textbook Ducksfoot "pink pistils" that I'm able to clone. I pop some G6 HWI beans - the last HWI seedstock that bid made in the GGE prior to departure - that give me the males to breed to the "webbed" webduck clone, and there you have the Kahili. Phew...
made me tired just remembering all that, LOL...
Great work again, Barefoot!!
