Bandit, I can't thank you enough for taking the time to keep this thread going! Will all that you accomplish in your garden, you still have time to show, help, teach and learn.

I need some of your vast knowledge. I have damn near a dozen TGA strains. Querkle and Deep Purple is def what I want to run first. How would you suggest running Querkle to maximize yield? What kind of yield in a 5 gal ? My area is only 2ft x 2ft x 4ft, so I want to do scrog.

Thanks!

Well, the best way to get yield out of Deep Purple is some SERIOUS veg time. She is a slow grower. Personally, in that limited height, I would let her get to be about 15" tall, and the FIM the main stem. I would at the same time, tie down any of her side branches in an LST type of fashion; pulling them lower than the main stem site you FIMmed. By the time the new growth shoots come out of the main stem...you will be seeing the results of you LST'ed side branches all having new growth growing up wards. You will have many more bud sites this way. Once you get the new tops from your FIM big enough, tie them down to be even with the rest of you canopy. Continue doing this, and you can easily have a single plant fill that 2' x 2' space...no problem at all. Deep Purple hardly stretches, if at all during flower...so I'd say let her into 12/12 at 24-28".

IF this is confusing... http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=86554
This is a thread where I was just clowning around for a bit with some bag seed. However, notice the Cheese, in particular, seeing how it is younger and I did this exact same concept to her.

I also grow in a 2'x2' cab currently, with a 400w. Although I have much more vertical space, I hardly ever use it b/c of the lack of penetration. I used to grow one large plant in this manner, but have switched since to growing 9 smaller plants from clones...so I really understand where you are coming from with this question...personal experience.

Hopefully this helps.

Sorry to hi-jack for a minute there Bandit...BACK TO THE SHOW!
