Trichomes weird- anybody know what’s going on?

I've begun looking for the paper, since no one else seems to be doing it. Not sure which computer I was on but I'll eventually find it. *shrug*

Edit: I've attached an interesting paper from 2019 covering a great deal of info on trichomes.

"Trichomes rupture due to environmental stress or damage (due to high temperatures and herbivorous
consumption), resulting in the release of phytocannabinoids and terpenes as a noxious, sticky liquid on the plant
surface."

Like I said, sudden heat causes faster terpene/cannabinoid production than your trichome cells can stretch, so they burst. Though not the original study I was looking for, this one will do.
