Been years and transplanting always works out, not only does it save veg space starting in smaller containers, you also can stagger/control harvests better.
I go from small boys 4x4 inch starter pots for 10-20 days into 3 gallon pots for 2-3 weeks then into 10 gals for 1 week then flower.
Never have any shock issues, this also helps to never overwater. With good wet/dry cycles in a well aerated soil they just take off.
Some mycos and basic molasses/EWC tea, boom.
