Hi all! :)

I just looked to my plants today after i put them under 600W HPS yesterday, and they seems a little yellow in the top, and the light is 20 cm from the top of the plants but i have now moved it a little bit up, ca. 25-30 cm so i hope they will continue growing just fine this time! Like someone said, third time is the lucky one! :D

id keep it around 40-50cm away and purchase a more robust and oscillating fan.

Are they starting in 12/12 now or just vegging ?

They could be a little shocked by all those extra lumens - what light were they under before ?

Too much water and make sure you change the air so that things transpire, or they dont drink. Looks fine just start to move it down slow and let em dry out a little... NS

I have a Honeywell putting out 740m3/H to blow under my lamp to cool down the bulb and blowing the hot air away from the top of the plants.

It's to been seen here:

You can just see it out in the right side, under the lamp:

No, they startet there life the 18-2. under 200W CFL 6400 kelvin, and then the 27-2 i moved them to my bigger tent and used a 600W MH at 400 watt for 1 week or so, and then im using a 600W HPS now and have changed the time to 12 hours a day for flowering.

This is a SOG grow and i will take some plant off and i guess i will have about 25 girls left to flower a nice little SOG, but maybe i have been out to early with setting them in flowering mode?

I think you are correct, maybe it's because of the high lumens they get now.

Ok, i water them every third day approx, and they are in 0.39L pots. and i think thats ok? But i will stop watering for a couple of days then, and turning on the air changer just like you said to change the air more around.

To your all, a big thanks from here! :)

Bring the light higher ... it will cut down on the heat & if your doing sog it will help the plants stretch a little towards the light . just trim the bottom branches & let them go to the light again .

good luck man ... growem green & stay safe

Thanks alot! :)

Ok, i just thought what the light should be as close as the temperature allows?

One of my friends told me, the closer the lamp, in centimeters, the bigger the bugs will be, in centimeters.

My english is not my best, but i hope you understand?

I have read some guides around the internet, and the most have there 600W about 30 cm from the plants, is that not the best to keep the light as close as possible?

It was also my thought to make them stretch at little, but i would not get to high plants either when having so many on so little space.

But i have taken the lamp a bit up now! :)

Another thing, i have a "bug-killer" using electricity and with the purple like light you properly know? Is that ok to stay on when the plants are sleeping?

Will this disturb there photosyntese?

In advance thanks.

you should keep the light as close as possible with adult plants, not fresh clones... If you're in veg, interrupting the dark cycle is not a problem, but if you're flowering the dark cycle needs to be completely dark. Also, could you elaborate on what this bug killing purple light is? As the clones become accustomed to the hps you can slowly move it closer, but if you don't it can shock them, especially if they are coming from fluorescent light straight to intense hps...

Ahh ok, on that way! :)

Then i can see what error i made, i should have taken the lamp even closer the first hole week and turned my ballast even more down (150W), and then let them veg a little before setting them into flowering mode.

Ok, then i kill the bug killing machine! :D

I fix you a picture so you can see what i mean with this bug-killer, sec! :)

As you can see i havent used fluorence light, but i have used Metal Halide bulb on approx 400 watt for 1 week.

From seed they where under 200 W CFL light and then went under 400W MH.

Sorry if im not so good to explain in english! :D

do you currently have bugs? If not, all that "bug zapper" (that's what we call those in the states) is doing is eating up electricity...

"i should have taken the lamp even closer the first hole week and turned my ballast even more down (150W), and then let them veg a little before setting them into flowering mode.
"

not really... I'd use the full 600 watt setting but just keep the lamp 40cm from the tops of the plants and are you sure that all the plants are female?

Yeah, i have some small flyes i thinks they are called? Black little bastards, they wasent there before i started to grow, but when i started to grow they came, i dont know where from.. I think i have heard it should come from outside to eat my roots or something like that, but i havent done anything, only these "bug-zapper" :)

Ahh on that way, now i understand! :) But will they not stretch a hell of alot with the lamp 40 cm from the plants?

When i have them under 400 W MH, there was approx 30cm to the plants and they seemed to like it, it was first when i changed to 600 W HPS and put the lamp at little more down and installing "heatspreader" on my adjust a wing that they look like they do know, a little "yellow" in the fresh new shots! :)

No, it's not all females, i will take some off them off when they are showing gender, then i plan to have 25 plants in 6.5L pots in my tent on 120x120x200cm

those small black flies sound like fungus gnats and are a sign of over-watering (usually) they need a moist medium in which to lay eggs, so you simply need to deny them that by putting a 1"/2.4cm layer of strait perlite, sand or diatomacous earth on top of the medium they are growing in so the eggs won't hatch.

I understand your concern about the plants stretching, but I assure you that having a 600w lamp 40cm from the tops of the plants is just fine... and in your case (growing in a seed sog) a little stretch is a good thing!

What strain is this? are they feminized? and just out of curiosity, what is your first language?

light shock 100%. less is more in the beginning if you dont start with that brightness. put the light to the roof. then lower by 3-6 inches daily, d

Yeah, i think that is what it is! :) I did not know the trick you just told me, so thanks, that i will try when i "re-pot" them into larger pots! :)

I think i have been watering them to much also now when you said it, i will now let them dry out some more between each watering! :)

Ok, i havent grown so much, this is my third time, so im still a little new into all the stuff there is about growing good weed, and i like it so far! :)

I will do as you told me to, turn the "bug-zapper" off, or only use it when the light is on, and then take the lamp a little bit up, approx 40 cm as you suggested! :)

I will also start my "air-cleaner", the "tool" that i use for keeping my apartment from smelling of hashish so i can keep it for myself! :D Then it chance the air a little, a little is better than nothing at all, right?

I have not the option to drag the air in from outside and blowing it out to, but maybe i will get that in time, i have to build something to do that, so it's not just so easy! :)

It's normal seeds, no ferminized, or i have a mix, dont really know whats in it, but some of them should be ferminized know when i think about it, but the rest is just normal seeds, no gender yet, therefore the many small plants, i will use only approx 25 of them, if im that lucky to get so many girls! :)

Sorry, i forgot :

3 x AK-47 F2
2 x Pure Afghani
12 x LOVE
6 x Lala Mix Indoor
7 x Cole Train
3 x Sensi Star / Skunk#1 x Papaya
5 x Lemon Thai
2 x Dragon Haze F1

My first language is danish! :)

But thanks for you help so far! :)

A little update on my grow here to! :)

22 girls left of 40 plants with the plans of 25 girls, not to bad i think! :)

Like you can see, i followed your suggestion Space Ghost, with the perlite.

It looks like the bugs are gone!

About 6-7 different strains, i will found out soon, dont know for sure ATM.

Not to high plants i think, but i hope to get some nice "fox-tales" :)

A Lemon Thai:

A very compact "LOVE" strain:

Not so compact "LOVE":

A fat one, maybe indica? "Lala Mix Indoor", maybe "butchu"? (Bubblechunk).

Peace! :)
