week 12 done...84 day into this journey now...took some advice and plucked a bunch of leaves off/cleaned the plants up a bit,there's more bud on the a5haze than i thought,and while i was plucking i got my first real smell of what was going on with them...menthol and spice is what i'm smelling...and starting to see trichs now...

i will get shots of the second round in a different space/lamp in a couple days,it seems like they like the extra blue/red from the mars hydro ts3000 since i can see pistils already at around 2 1/2 weeks...

plus the plants seem way less droopy than these...

the amnesia haze x a5haze s1 on the other hand are moving towards being finished...all of them are on fresh water now,and really chunking up nicely.i'm looking at harvest between 95 and 100 days...

second round of these in flower as well,they also seem to be flowering quicker under the ts3000...and i had an extra cutting sitting in a glass of water that rooted as well as the ones in rapid rooters...

Nice buds Uncle!

Menthol and spice, that sounds nice!! Up to now I think the Amnesia cross does not resemble the amnesia. Lets see if she finishes up with a golden shine.

Your plants look overwatered or the moisture level in the soil is not equally divided.

Maybe try capillary mats? I find that the plants are much happier with them. I dont use them anymore for automatic watering as having a big layer covering the whole floor is tricky.

But I just put a piece beneath the pot and a few pieces on top (never cover whole top surface). It's really cheap! ANd they never have too much water(unless you ask a friend to water them and come home to find them sitting in an inch of stagnant brown water and moldy mats

LOL haha well they looked overwatered to me oops.

What you said about the extra red and blue makes total sense. I have done a lot of research and many papers say that the best spectrum is white light with extra red and blue + uv and ir. It makes sense because my issues started when I removed the red and blue vipar so there was only sf4000 light. Par value decreased and yet they were suffering all of a sudden.

I have ordered some cheap chinese red and blue bars just to test if I can get my plants to grow normal under the sf4000 without adding this and that and that and this. Cant test with the vipar now as it is used for flowering a5 and her hot sisters.

yeah,i dunno what's up with them,aside from grower error of course...

pics of the second run...i think you can tell the amnesia cross from the a5haze...pruned them down a lot more,like the lower 2/3 is stripped bare...but in general this round seems much happier...

and i think i got lucky on picking the keepers...the a5haze i selected is the farthest along and has the best smell to it...and the amnesia cross keeper was the frostiest/quickest,and now the buds are getting agreeably solid feeling and seems to be the fastest finisher...

done with 13 weeks of 12/12 now...pics were taken on day 92...still a ways to go on the a5haze s1,the buds continue to fill in,been doing a little leaf plucking to allow more light to get to them,and actually allow the buds to be seen under all the leaf...the scent continues to get stronger with each passing week,getting a bit more spicy now...

the amnesia haze x a5haze s1 are getting the chop tomorrow...might be a bit premature on 2 of them,but i think the keeper pheno looks about done,seeing amber glands on it.and in my limited experience with haze strains they will happily go on flowering forever,so you need to pick your time...

been on fresh water for a couple weeks now,the buds feel pretty solid at this point...looks to be a decent yield...

a little update on round 2...week 4 done...the amnesia cross started flowering at week 2,and this time i'm seeing pistils forming on the a5haze at week 4,and the plants don't look anywhere near as shaggy as the seed plants...
