The Stock Market Just Shot Itself In The Foot

The Bailout Plan was rejected, the stockmarket is faaalling...

What a crazy week it has been.

The time of the subprime dinosaurs is over, now a new era begins.

Small furry mammals, your time has come.

Here's the plan, you know all that cash you've been stuffing into the mattress, not knowing what to do with it?

Well, in a few more days, several US companies can be bought cheap.

Some stocks have plunged 70%.

US growers, buy up corporate America, and use your influence to change its laws.

The world is looking at ya.

time for legalization with taxation. The boost it'd give would be undeniable.

i would hold off on buying any stocks for the time being...

the bailout would've just delayed the pain that was coming anyway, i say its better to just let everything crap out and see how it works out...

the market WILL sort all of this out, it may not be pretty but the market will sort it out...

the bailout wasn't going to produce a million jobs, and that is what is needed to fix the economy...you can buy all the paper that has gone bad so far but what happens when more paper goes bad in the coming year due to more people losing jobs and getting behind on their houses, cars, credit cards, etc?

if you must spend the money in your mattress i would buy gold, silver and guns...

Today's events were a reflection of true democracy in action.

Most Americans saw this legislation for the BS it was. Now, the market will naturally correct itself faster than anyone could imagine. Oil prices are plummeting (corporations can no longer fuel the demand).

It only took us 10 years to wake up...

I have a few investments, yes they're down a bit but
two are still making me money as I reinvest all of the
dividends accrued. I don't live and die daily by market
fluctuations and it's really the long term plan I have in
mind and so I ride it out w/o stressing on it.......

If you can afford it buy GOLD even if you're thinking
short term investments right now, gold will be moving
up again, opened @ $884.00 today & is 925+ now.

People still gotta eat.
I'm not trying to get rich, but I know that I can produce good quality food, and there's ALWAYS a market for that- especially when cardboard tomatoes aren't cost effective to ship around the world anymore.
I'm investing in another greenhouse. I love the analogy of the small furry mammals. We skitter about with our small and VERY EFFICIENT little lives, unnoticed by anyone large enough to consider us a meal...

Since a vote against the bailout plan would be sure to hurt the average american, it's time to step up and remove the politicians that voted against it. It might not be the best plan, but if voting against it is sure to hurt us, then how can we allow these politicians to stay in office.

I'm gonna say it's the other way around Care Free 1. I'm extremely glad my state rep voted against it, had he not I would've voted against him without question. Why do you think the bailout is a good idea? What do you think would happen if it had passed, and how would we have been better off?

This bailout shit has got to end, that is not what the government is for.

About 3-years ago on CNBC, annalist said, "The Dow over 10,000 is inflated by market speculation". Today we are still over 10,000. We also want to blame this mess on wall street and the mortgage industry. Let's not forget the greedy home owners, who robbed their equity and then dumped their houses, when they lost value. Not to mention, I'll make money and buy more then one home, homes are going up. Can't afford it, bankrupt. If you buy gold, you pay over spot and sell at spot. Some places, any transaction over $500, keeps records. I think you would be better off stocking up on food (Inflation/survival needs) and cash. When people are down and out, first thing they do is sell their possessions for a significant loss, to get cash. If your a little perinod, buy some guns & bullets to protect the thing you still have left. There will always be jobs in medical, energy, food, utilities. Bet on the basic essentials for life, there will always be a need. I think the stock market is almost where it should be after one more correction like today.

I'm against any socialist bailout plans. People have screwed up, and they should suffer the consequences stemming from their moronic behavior. And maybe banks should stop giving loans to people who don't really qualify for them. And maybe certain dipshit politicians should stop pressuring banks into giving loans to certain people who have zero chance of paying them back. If you can't afford a house, then don't fucking buy one. No bailout, no help for wall street and no help for the "American people", that's my 2 cents.

Well I dont know your financial status, but unless your rich stay tuned cuz it's going to be a wild ride ahead. I hope you already have a decent job, cuz if you dont, good luck finding one!!!!
Everyone knows this problem must be patched, cuz the damage is already done.

i know ppl that were able to make their house payments, that is until wallstreet ppl started getting greedy and their mortgages when from 700 to 1200+ a month...plus lets let all of the businesses that rely on loans to pay their employees fail.. im sure ppl dont need jobs or paychecks anymore, thats a good thing for our economy.

Good, maybe people will open their fucking eyes for once, this country is pathetic, people have no idea what's going on in the world around them and they need a swift kick in the ass to wake them up. I'm looking forward to the next few months. :joint:

I agree, though I'm a little afraid of what the immediate future holds.Mouths to feed and all that...as far as jobs go,there really isn't a whole lot out there. The jobs that haven't been re-located to China and Mexico are being filled by illegal immigrants because they will work for peanuts. And those peanuts are starting to look good to some of us.
Things could get pretty bad,but we couldn't let bush get away with handing the corporate fat-cats another multi-billion dollar gift, which,in the form of de-regulation of Wal-Street is part of the reason we're in this situation.Speaking of China,I would think twice about the next piece of chocolate I eat if I were you.I'm afraid Cadburies may not be the end of it.
Peace

Here's my take,
If the avg. American spent all their money & maxed out their credit. They would just stay home and minimize their expenses. Not our government, they borrow even more money increasing the National Deficiet. Eventually other governments will stop buying our treasury notes, then what happens? The gov prints more money and you have hyperinflation. Eventually someone has to pay for the money that's already been paid out, it don't come free.
