The search for a proper recovery pump..

Is it a rotary screw? What you would need is a refrigerated filter drier, just one and it mounts next to the motor, but they are a few g. The CPS TR21S seems to be the best option so far.......

IT was used for a SHORT time to run a agitator hooked to a bag loading machine. IT was a backup and I got it for a steal. I pretty sure My drier at the shop is what I need and this is the compressor Haskell recommends. We got it from a local soil shop on payments that had it for the bag loader.

GW explained to me that sound travels at a 45 degree angle. When designing an enclosure for the compressor you build whats called a labyrinth which is essentially and angled roof that helps deaden the sound and exhaust the space. Its really quite simple. I'm sure GW will chime in here soon.

I hate chicago pneumatic personally.....

We might scrap all this and go all new by the time that comes around anyways. Ingersoll Rand is the dryer brand in the shop and I forgot what model. I dont have any experience with CP and I feel that we can make a profit reselling if we dont like it.

I wish I was not a 22yo with little resources. I built this on a Shoestring or I would have a badass system. I still have some parker green brass that I want to change over to stainless. I want to go all tapless face seal fittings and install co2 cooling jackets on everything but the collection. After all that is done I will be pushing my product hard at local dispensaries and clinics. All Southern Oregon testing facilities I have been to all have many different results for the same sample. So this has also been a problem for us being based in Medford, Oregon. The next big issue is we have sold 4 all stainless extractors and the only pump that is rated for state use in WA and CO is Oiled as you all know and the Haskel is out of reach for mom and pops. But as Gray Wolf has said before, we can only recommend the Haskel or the crappy oiled ones due to the ratings... Or we could risk our asses when one does go boom if it can.

Now with the new laws in Oregon the pumps will not be an issue in terms of noise due to home extractions being illegal. We will just recommend the haskell to state facilities. But the out of state clients that are at home will want a good cheaper and quieter option.

Support for just four system has been overwhelming and I need to build a team beyond my two friends and I.. no budget due to the lack of proper planning is no longer going to be a problem next month we are ALL OUT on flooding shelves with quality products from our lil lab here on the farm. We will have to shut down and move soon due to changes in the laws but we are saving for that now. Doing this all on a shoestring and making oil NONSTOP baby.

The first year I was giving only to my patients now we have done some clinic "drops" ommp style and soon will blow the scene up. I don't want to make this move until we can secure a good testing partnership locally or even if we have to travel to the PDX for proper testing options.

If your looking to establish relationships with dispensaries you may be a little late. Many are dropping vendors left and right, and they are very rarely taking on new vendors. I can appreciate your ambition, but producing oil is only part of making it in this industry on a legitimate level.

Wishing you the best of luck brother!!

Agreed, especially right now when everyone is racing each other with crazed dollar signs in their eyes.

I agree with perm in that you should humble that ego of yours a bit to receive more friendly of responses, SouternOregon.. It almost seems as if you started posting not to ask questions or to share, but to show off how youre going to be the best and most established processor out of all of us.

Take advice from another young'n here, as I am only 25 myself. These guys will appreciate you're input and help propel you with awesome experienced perspectives, if you just listen and let them humbly.

Otherwise you will just become another Durden (RedBeard).

Hi guys. I've been extracting and growing for 10 years to provide meds for me and my family's various ailments. I just got my first closed loop from Austin, a mkIVc unit. Just like everybody else I'm looking for a quality pump, I can barely afford a Haskell and screw compressor if I really really need one. Right now that is clearly the only option that is both safe and clean.

So my question is: should I hold off on spending 10k for a Haskell and just wait until a better designed pump becomes available? What is this rumor about Haskell coming out with a newly designed pump for our industry? Does anybody have any facts about this, like when it might be released, what is being changed (compressor size maybe?)
Does anybody know anything else about these "industry specific" pumps that are supposed to be released in oct / nov timeframe?
I just don't want to spend 10k on a Haskell if another option is going to become available in the next few weeks, kinda like buying an iPhone 5 a week before the iPhone 6 comes out!

Really? Seems as if they are all hitting us up on IG alone and email.. We have not even called them.. Just by our pics and we went into 3 in southern Oregon and they are short even on harvest session. They also have problems finding consistent processors out here. Maybe the PDX but I know 4 clinics up there that will buy everything I have for 20-25 a g... simple. Have relationships from indoor growers across Oregon so I have access to consistent fire indoor. I only run 12 lights 12 plants. 2 month veg. And as of now the room is empty. But... Here is a pic of the budget grow. Since you guys doge my questions and just talk down to me instead. The clinic dont want your product maybe because it is not all flower runs? Don't just blame it on demand if you have that fire and willing to eat the 20 a gram price you can make drops all day. This room was Dutch Treat. I dont have time to grow lots right now I only have 6 plants..

If you go the route of the Haskel you will need to get a proper power supply and air filtration system. The CPS pump seems to do well but it is not rated and puts out small amounts of carbon on the output. It also Gets really hot, but I hear the stainless (TR22ss) version gets even hotter from IG friends. I am sure other can chime in on the Haskel more but according to the rep on the phone a new one is coming out very soon that is more ideal for our operation conditions and can run on a much less powerful compressor. Graywolf is testing a hemp seed oil loaded chinese pump from Eco Green Direct from china.. It seems as if the CM-EP is working for the few who have it but filtration has been a problem and regular changes of the oil separator is needed. I dont think oil pumps are going to make people happy especially consumers.. But then again that xtractix article about recovery pumps seems to have lots of people scared of what we do now sadly.. Even in the small city I live in redneck Cardholders are like, "do you use that Crapion/Apion to run your oil?" ha... They saw the article. seems as if they took lots of that article down because of one of this forum's members owned the photos.

What's your IG, brother? Perhaps we already follow each other.

Don't know how you took that as talking down to you, improper wording on my part may have led you astray. I was just calling it as it is. Here on icmag, you won't get much response with that kind of approach, infact, I didn't even notice that you asked a question because most of you're posts are paragraphs about how good you are doing already. Everyone here is apart of the industry in one way or another. Mutual and humble respect is the way of the wise!

Sorry to sound like I was downing you nonetheless!

I am fucking stuck on the mountain side slaving over one or two units every day all day.. I upload the premo slabz to IG and right now work in a 3 walled structure with a fireproof tent wall with good airflow going through the whole facility. So I am NOT the best by my work environment alone.. Like I said.. On a shoestring. I have been reading this forum and your posts for a long time. Sorry if I offended you.

Sounds like we are most definitely moving up from the same starting point.

He is @soormade, pictures are worth a thousand words. It looks like he switched over to private feed, wonder why.

I call bs buddy, you and ur 160 followers. 25 a g? That's what clubs sell grams for on Saturday. Nug run still won't fetch that price. We (my crew and I) are actually doing what your talking about doing. So pardon me if I don't take kindly to your punk ass attitude. Maybe get down off your high horse or hillside and operate a legit processing business with employees and real overhead, then come tell me what I already know.

Kick rocks kid

This is a private account, public one has very few pics of only our packaging. Add me ;) I dont accept kids or anyone who has lots of illegal content on their feeds like pills or other drugs or openly ships.. And if you are letting go for less than 20 for nug runs then sorry dude. You honestly are trying to make this a pissing contest. Fuck off. The flowers I run could sell for top shelf and the popcorn I run could sell for mid.. And because you are calling me out and not everyone has an IG I suppose I should screenshot the account? I guess if you really want to see you would just add me this tread is about recovery pumps.

What's going down with the CP-EP? My partner wants to order one I keep telling him no. I dont think it will end up being what we need at all. With the oil contamination. Anyone able to test yet? What about directly testing the hemp seed oil?

I agree with you. Even if my product was contaminated with hemp seed oil is be pissed and would consider the extraction a fail. I think we're going to run into many of the same problems.

GW has mentioned the filtration is expensive and replacing often. Tr21S is the winner in my book so far.

None of these pumps are designed for hydrocarbon solvents, we are currently testing the haskell..A new explosion proof hydrocarbon pump just came out as well Im ordering tomorrow and ill chat with the manufacturer about the pump and its qualifications.

This is a great article on why all the other refrigerant pumps are bad and not to be used with butane on CLS..

Really? Where have you been bro? That is complete bullshit and if you know anything about extracting you would know this.....the Haskel is the best option. What are your run times? We are just plumbing up our screw and Haskel this week but excited to test it out.
