Just finished the first series. I am told hopefully I won't have to come back for at least 6 months.

Yes, lower back.....L3 and L4. It is better but far from pain free. It has also helped with sciatica nerve pain.
Did you get muscle spasms from the sciatic nerve pain?

It does suck, but what are you going to do, besides carry on. I don't want to be one of those grouchy old men.

As my friend would say "you got to be tough to grow old"

You sure had to add something to that kind of alcohol, very potent and extremely strong in taste. Hit stomach like an A bomb.

I haven't heard the words "purple jesus' in a long time. So I looked it up on AI, I was surprised to learn that high % alcohol and grape juice plus overindulgence led to colorful vomiting:)
Yes I’m sure there was vomiting. They mixed fruit juices with it in a big cooler

I extracted some Dark Cherries last year and made a concentrate syrup that was to die for on vanilla ice cream.

I extracted with a mixture of ethanol and water to extract all the flavonoids and then removed all the alcohol and most of the water using a vacuum still to keep the temperature down.

As a former wine taster, I decided to taste 190 proof to see what it tasted like and noted a sweet taste before it suddenly felt like a hot coal on the tip of my tongue.

I spit it out and looked at the tip of my tongue in the mirror, to discover that it was desiccated badly enough to turn white like a flame scorch.
Had a roommate 20 years ago... He liked to drink. Mostly beer and tomato beer.

He was 'helping' me install a new water heater and I had to go get some copper fittings. Took about 40 minutes before I got back. When I got back he was 'blotto' and worthless as 'help'.

A few days later I learned how that came to happen so quickly. I had a 750ml bottle of 190 Everclear under the sink I used for cleaning small parts. There was only about an inch remaining in the bottle and it was now empty!!

One might say he was an alcoholic and I'd agree with them....

Ha ha yup! The sciatic nerve finally got the best of me when it moved into my butt which seemed to join in with my constant lower back issues. Boom! Throb!!!!

If it gets real bad it will go all the way down your leg to your foot, from your waist to your toes will spasm. That's reason I take a drug called Gabapentin.
Hopefully the treatment your getting keeps thing steady without further complications.
Best of luck "Older Man"

Another recovery day nearly over - had the hospital call me today and book me for a CT Scan on Saturday afternoon - and my clinic pharmacist call to go thru all the meds I'm taking and order more that I'll have to pick up from the pharmacy up my road - did 2 trips out to feed Smudge and Spanky on foot - weather is real nice - polo/t-shirt time -

The Mrs ordered a new Hotpoint washing machine - which got delivered and installed today - since the last one - which lasted 6 years finally went BANG! - and then died last week 😢 - after getting increasingly noisy over several months - till it sounded like a jet airplane taking off on spin cycle - and we had to shut the kitchen door constantly to avoid some of the noise -

- it's not easy for me to be as lazy as I have to be physically - to recover from this heart surgery - so I'm getting the boy to do any lifting - pushing and shoving - and moving stuff around - that I would usually do - still should spend more time horizontal - I'm trying -
Take it easy Tarzan ☝️😊

Ya - maybe it was that salty bacon 🥓 sandwich - that got my heart pogo dancing?
It's possible, bacon is very salty and sodium will elevate your blood pressure, that combined with your thinned out blood could elevate your heart rate as well. I would think though that the blood pressure meds would keep things under control? You should try to avoid salt whenever possible though for a heart healthy diet. I'd pay close attention to what you eat and how your body reacts, if this keeps happening you should discuss it with your doctor the next time you see him. A simple fix might be to increase the dosage of your blood pressure medication.
