You might be enjoying it so much that you want to “ride it” for a while. When i get blind drunk I can stay up for days because im having so much fun. 🤪

“spill the wine
Take that pearl”.

cannabis 100%

i will pass on the alcohol , I have allergies

maybe a gin and tonic or a margarita , once or twice a year and then only like a shot per drink

otherwise I run the risk of copping a migraine and I don’t need no help getting those

Back from my walk. Lake was like glass today. Hardly any boats......means nobody is catching fish. Including me. Haven't had the boat out once this year. Been to cold. I am going on fishing trip soon. Hopefully the water temp will get up to 60f by then.

Need to get out and mow the field out back. If I don't my mower will hate me.

I live with chronic pain and have since 2010, I hate it and it wears me down. I take 3 different medications for pain including narcotics and practice meditation. I do what I can to minimize the effects of pain. However, there is no escaping it and it's effects.
My back has killed me since I turned 50 or so. Worn out. I just started taking steroid shot in my spine and It has helped. I get the 3rd in a series of 3 this Thursday. Then every 6 months or so for the rest of my life or as long as I can tolerate it. And you are right oldmaninbc....wears me out.

Off to mow.

In avoidance of house work, I've decided to smoke some herb and
hang out a bit longer with y'all old farts :)

Truck is in the shop + road work out front would disallow me
passage out anyway. No way now to go waste time at the
thrift shops :(

Aging has it's benefits. I may complain at times, the typical
oldsters complaints of course but overall... I like being an
older gal.

With age comes experience and experience hopefully begets knowledge.
One of the most important bits of life I've come to know is that life is
transitional, always changing. Roll with it or it will roll right on over you.
This understanding brought calm for me. The only thing I can control
is me... most the time haha.

Prepare for the future but expect the unexpected to happen and deal
with it as it comes. I worry much less and am happier over all just
accepting this truth of life.

Big changes on the horizon here on the homestead. Expected yet
came to a head this last week. Leaves me with a sense of joy and
relief yet with a certain amount of trepidation, as much as I'd like
to ignore it... it is still there.

I have lived here now, just shy of 15yrs. I love my upper apartment in
this 100 yo house. I'm in the upper apt. and the same gal has lived
downstairs for 16 1/2 years.
I love my neighborhood and have a great relationship with my other
neighbors, many of whom have lived here 10+ years. It is a very nice
place to live.

Except the negative entity that lives downstairs. I'll not go into the
evilness she exudes and all the unnecessary drama/ chaos she
creates... that, would take a book!
She is the evil that I know though and I simply put her on block/ ignore
in order to coexist happily.

3 years ago she was diagnosed with early onset dementia. This
condition only intensified her ugliness rather than to temper it.
She has declined rapidly and can no longer live alone.
Her children are on their way up from San Antonio to clear out
her apt. and take her back to TX. Changes happening for all
involved.

My landlord and I have an excellent relationship. I fix up the place
keep the yard up, take care of the snow etc. I am valuable to him
and he doesn't want to loose me as a tenant and I don't want to
move... but I will if need be. I've been stackin' cash for moving
for years as I want options in case I end up with worse neighbors!

He has assured me that he is going to do some remodeling,
updating etc. downstairs (has even asked me if I'd share
my ideas with him on the matter :) ) and will not rent it out
until he finds the right fit.

I find relief in that but...

ch ch ch changes... leave us all with a bit of trepidation me thinks.

Come what may, it will be okay.

Thanks for reading my ramble.
Being stuck inside makes me antsy haha.

Or any other source.

What I've learned from sitting all day to work is that stretching is extremely necessary.
Good walks too.

I stretch every day. Problem is my L3 and L4 are bone to bone. Stretching actually makes it hurt more. I do stretch but carefully. I walk 4 or 5 times a week depending on weather and my schedule. I walked 3 miles at the lake today and just mowed the yard and the field out back.....

I do most everything I should to keep myself going at my age. Problem is.....I am as good as I am gonna get and with time I will never be this good again.

Fortunately I retired over 14 years ago and got to play a lot after I retired. At almost 74 I still get around pretty well.

'Hunky Dory' - that Bowie album - was the first album that I ever bought or had - I think it was 1973 - when I was 13 years old - and I sold the back wheel of an old bicycle that I had to buy it - for about £3 at the time - 💔 - brings back so many memories - and the words of all of those great songs on that album - one of note being 'Kooks' -

Well, darn. Sad news: The big honeybee hive inside my firing range backstop has died out. I removed the top, and found a dozen or so huge (abandoned) honeycombs. They were sorta oval shaped and about 20" wide by 24" deep. A couple of them had some honey in them.

Every now and then a single lost honeybee would show up, and try to find the thousands of others that are now gone. Made me feel sorry fo them... clearly confused and lost.

I got a big plastic bag and put the honeycombs in it. Stashed it in my garage. Mebbe I will render the beeswax <-- Got about 24 pounds of combs...

But I feel bad about losing the hive. They were interesting to watch.

Spent most of the day cleaning my truck.
I haven't done it all winter.
It was sandy and kind of dusty and I found all sorts of stuff here and there.
Shotgun ammo between the back seats, a joint that fell under the drivers seat , change etc,
I vacuumed, washed the floor mats, glass, Armor all, even drove into town and went to the car wash.
I lucked out at the car wash . The person ahead of me left almost 8 minutes on it so I only put a couple bucks in it for a good washing.

Yeah! - I didn't sneeze 🤧 today - which proved to be almost tragic yesterday 😪 - they have me on the heaviest painkiller that I'm currently allowed to have - oxycodone - delivered in a gell like form - in a syringe that has no needle - which I have to press the plunger - to direct this clear painkilling gell - into my mouth - so if I do have a sneezing episode - it shouldn't feel like I'm being quartered - slowly - by a rusty and blunt old scimitar -
