Fyi I dont know if this is popular or not on this site. Some sites like it some view it as a bit childish but I did take a set of unboxing pictures of my epap and can post them if sufficient interest.

So just to be clear, neither these nor the Gavitas we are discussing here are PLASMA correct? The price of these seems much cheaper.

How many of these 1000's would be needed to cover a 4x8 table? Currently we run 2 Xl Adjust a Wings with 1000's in them. What would be my advantage?

These are NOT Plasma lights. Neither are Gavitas (unless it specifically says Plasma). These are the 1000W HPS fixtures.

For a 4x8' table, use (2) of them. The advantage is 25% more light than your regular 1000W bulb, 10K hours of <95% PAR output, less hotspots, no RF interference, and ballerness.

How does that work exactly? I get tons of light from my Adjust a Wings on 1000w now. Would I be able to run these on 75% or so and save energy costs even more?

How many amps does one pull and what kind of light box would these plug into?

I read the thread but did not see the data for canopy distance for the E-P. I know Gavita is 25-30".. I have 1 of ea. I put a Agrotech Magnum Double Ended Reflector on the Gavita remote setup.

You'll have to ask DGS for the scientific explanation, sorry. They pull the same amount as your standard digital 1000W setup, between 4-5A. I believe they are all 240V, but that's what you should be running them at even if they give you an option.

How do you like the Agrotech? I was thinking of trying an Agro, Phillips, and Solistek combo.

I used my par meter on it. It has the highest par readings then any of the other reflector i have used including E-P and Gavita. I like it. I might get another one...

If u use any ballast that is not approved to run DE bulbs you will void your warranty. Thats what GAVITA said

Sick! Thats what I was hoping for... I can't wait to throw up all new Agrotech's.

I don't see why not. I'd love to see them :)

Dude you are reading me like a book.
I am sooo all about ballerness too! That is kinda my life mantra embodied in a single word.

1. Ballerness
Ballerness is the state of performing in athletics or sex at such a high level that kenyans and porn stars can't touch you're skillz. Such Ballerness is exuded by Michael Jordan, Mike McLaughlin and Devon Bennett.

Peace. ;)

No data for us? How does the meter read comparing the 750 watt setting to 1000 watt digital, like Lumatek?

DGS wont respond to me questions for some reason. Can anyone respond to this?

I know you are supposed to light a room but how far apart from each bulb should I space them to maximize yield?

Would you say running them at the 750 watt setting would be comparable to a Lumatek running at the 1,000 setting?

How high from the canopy do I have to be when using the 750 watt setting?

How many actual watts are being used at the 750 watt and 1000 watt setting?

Hi Snype, I somehow missed your questions.

Maximum yield: Go for 2 ePaps over 3 trays. That's the optimum I would say.

The 750W setting: 820W
The 1000W setting: 1060W.
This is @240V.

Let me know if you have more questions!

Can you share your data when you have it available Snype? I'm in one way or the other though.

Pretty soon you guys are going to get loads of data including par data from 36 different points. Also, I will compare data to Lumatek ballasts with Hortilux Super HPS bulbs.

I did some testing with my Solic Tek Ballast vs the Gavita on the Agrotech The par was much higher on the Agrotech..All my data is on another site I cant get back on.

Im using a 5x5 for that light, the E-P are getting A 4x4 area with some overlapping. Im using a distance of 25-30" from bulb to canopy on 1k setting. If I use the 1150 setting I would use the 30" or more.

DGS what would you use for canopy distance on the 1150 setting.??

Is Solic Tek a DE ballast or is it similar to a Lumatek?
