The Flav profile:
9 weeks and quite tall plant.
Smallish nugs with decent yield. Very nice lemon smell and taste.
High potency.
The effect is very fun and spacey that lasts long.
The high after the peek (zone) is very chillin'
Ceiling is a tiny bit low - can't get too fucked up on this weed.

Buying 15-20 renowned clones from the Austrian FF clone shop and starting producing seeds right from the scratch by crossing all that genetic material is far from my idea of proper cannabis breeding. I mean that's ok for personal use but is this a serious commercial project to be released?
Sounds like what the spanish bulk seed producers do, pollen chucking at its best! Luckily the UPOV regulation and ethics doesn't affect cannabis breeders (new varieties must be different and original enough to be registered, apart from homogeneus and stable) lol.

We've been working on the Golden Diesel project for 3 years now and we're crossing it to as many available proven cuts to bring back some vigor as F4 seeds are not as easy to grow as F1 hybrids.
We tested roughly half of the cuts:

And found a few keepers we're looking to cross to our Golden Diesel.
And the other half we're crossing to the Golden Diesel males without testing because we already got the clones. The seeds will be given as testers/ fund raisers/ freebies until the mothers and the seeds are well tested.
We are making our own selections as well but moving a continent cost us our mothers and it takes some time to recover that.
So far we got the Jilly Bean candyshop pheno that we're also crossing to the Golden Diesel.
There is also an automatic plants selection going, looking for candidates to create a Golden Diesel auto with.
With that in mind, I'm not saying we don't look into the option of crossing the austrian cuts to themselves to make another seedstock.
So far we have not found something worthy.
I don't know your idea of proper cannabis breeding but we work with whatever genetics we can if it helps us reach our goals.
Needless to mention a lot of the austrian cuts we're culled - a testing process that isn't much easier than pheno hunting from seed if you ask me.
