There was a guy north of the border from me(Canada) a few days ago, that encountered a bear on a walk he was taking. The Bear rose up on it's back legs. The guy punched it in the face. I guess the bear "punched" him back and then took off. The people on the radio were calling him a crazy bastard, lol.
