Hi everybody

Here an Aussie strange creature :D

Being more serious, some of them are made with mulga timber (Acacia aneura).

I have found this web about Callicoma serratifolia.

http://www.friendsoflanecovenationalpark.org.au/Flowering/Flowers/Callicoma_serratifolia.htm

It looks like a ganja plant with only one finguered leaves.

One tree we have growing here so far away is Acacia saligna, we have tons of them growing wild.

Nice little nest JV ,
i see he is a fan of green ,
the ones near my patch used to collect some amazing blue things ,
hard to find in the bush without some human around ...

Hey Wally....That nest isn't to far off the beaten track.
Only seen a few nest's over the years.....The first one I saw when I was a kid, had alot of blue straws in it.

Bower Birds nest I saw in the scrub a while ago.

Thats not a nest, its a 'bower' - the spot where the male does his courtship displays. (his numerous female partners nest elsewhere after mating)

I've never seen a nest, but I've seen plenty of bowers... We've got Satin Bower birds and Regent Bower birds around here.... the Satin ones love anything blue, and onetime I found a piece of a $10 note!
