Update, 60 Days of Flower...

It's been a few weeks since I've updated, so I've got some shots of the girls progress to look at. I'm guessing most will be done in the next 6-12 days. Most of the plants are exhibiting trichomes in the cloudy stage with a few amber ones here and there.

I have had a few late nanner's pop out on a few of the Chemmy Jones and UKhem's that I've picked off. Hopefully I was able to get them soon enough before too much damage was done. The plants have been given straight water for 8 days now.

On with the show...

Hey guys,

Thanks for the interest.

I'll post up some harvest shots in the next few days. I don't have any final plant shots because I thought this forum was gone, and in disappointment harvested without taking any pictures. I did take some bud shots though and will be posting those.

I harvested most of the plants about 66-69 days. Would have liked to let them go another 7-10 days, but I've got friends in need and a wife heading out of town on a buying trip for her business, so needed to wrap things up. The Secret Recipes are still going, and will be harvested this weekend at 83 days. They are the most fruity smelling of the three strains that I tested, and will be my smoke.

Of the Chemmy Jones, #6 was the best plant. The smoke is the nicest, and every bit of weed on the plant is grade AAA. From the Colas to the scrubs. I'm very impressed in this plant and will be keeping it for some time.

Of the UKhem's, #2, and #4 are about the same quality. Definitely the best of the UKhem's.

Of the Secret Recipe's #1 and #3 are the best plants. They each have some of the biggest colas I've grown, They smell like fruit loops, and are just beautiful to look at. I am a bit in awe of these plants, and can't wait to smoke them.

Check back for pictures probably this weekend.

Well I finally was able to get some photo's together of the bud shots. I took a lot of pictures but these were the best of them. It's hard to believe how many of them were out of focus due to my shaky hands. I really need to get a tripod.

Here we go. Up first is Secret Recipe

Secret Recipe

UKhem

Chemmy Jones

I hope you all have enjoyed this test grow as much as I have. They were a pleasure to grow and I will continue to grow them in the future.

My keepers I'm thinking are Secret Recipe #'s 1 and 3, Chemmy Jones #6 (all were great, but #6 is outstanding), and UKhem #2. This is based solely upon, smoked effects, bag appeal, smell, and yields. Final selection will be based upon smoked effects, flavor, and smell. The last two of which are hard for me to distinguish and will take some time. I have a poor sense of taste and a very limited sense of smell. Some friends that I consider weed connoisseurs have tried the UKhem and Chemmy Jones and have commented on the strong smell and pleasant flavor of them. Most have enjoyed the Chemmy Jones more. Both are very similar in taste and smell, but I'm leaning more towards the Chemmy Jones. Friday night my buddy that's sampled both the UKhem and Chemmy Jones got to have his first taste of Secret Recipe and after two hits was already telling me how it was the best. Strong praise from a guy who has access to a large variety of weed. I know it must have been good cause then he tells me that my growing skills have improved. That this is the best weed, and do I have any more. I'm just ROFL inside cause I'm thinking, dude, I ain't changed shit in my growing in several years. :biglaugh:

This is just straight up dank dope. Mad props to the whole CSG crew for getting these crosses out there. Truly connoisseur weed. Thank you for the opportunity to test them and the great additions to my garden. I hope to be able to post some more descriptive smoke reports on them in the future as I've had time to smoke them in greater depth and develop a better feeling for their unique flavors and smells.

Hey there guys,

Thanks for checking out the final bud shots. I've appreciated you guys following along. I was hoping for more dialogue in this thread, but this is my first start to finish documented grow here, so although I'm an old timer here, I don't have the following that some of you have.

Since you mentioned yield Hazefest. I averaged about 60-70 grams per plant, but that was just what I harvested. I'm revegging these girls and left quite a bit of bud on the plants. So yeah I'll say that they yielded well. I was hoping for a bit more (Greedy Bastard, eh) due to the size of the plants, but honestly they were very crowded in the room, and light penetration was an issue. Plus I wasn't able to get the second room up and running in time to move some under those lights. I get a feeling that they'll do even better from clone.

I've been smoking quite a bit and I'm starting to develop a feel for the taste and smell of these girls, but haven't put anything to paper yet. The smells are starting to become stronger as they cure, and the smoke is getting smoother. This is very expansive bud that leaves me coughing after most hits, but this is getting better. Partly this is because I hadn't smoked in 3 months prior to this harvest due to some work issues. It really feels nice to be smoking again, and I've been enjoying it so much that I forget to concentrate on the smells and flavors. I'll pin something down before too long and post a smoke report for everyone.

Thanks for following along my friends.

Hey bro your thread is one of the most active we've had so although it may not have been as busy as some on the site, for a test thread it rates up there with the most popular. Had it been in a more viewed section im sure it would have had 10x more dialogue and also had we not been through such a crazy time we would have been posting much more too.
Overall i've gotta say it's one of the most comprehensive and well documented test grows around, we're real proud of it and extremely grateful for all your efforts.
Take care bro and we look forward to seeing you rock more CSG strains soon.
