How do you get them out?
Grab on to them with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull. Replace the o-ring that comes out with it.
How do you get them out?
Permacultuure, I would think that pouring in open atmosphere and then recovering would inevitably introduce a bit of air/oxygen into the system. Definitely would run a T with ball valves from the appion to the two pots. Probably also T your Vac pump. I was thinking a sightglass between the two packed with filter material or maybe just filtered .
I recently tried doing a run with the collection pot with ethanol added. Maybe a 1/8" deep in the bottom of the pot. I did 3 columns before removing the collection. It poured out easy and left a sparkling collection pot. Not sure how much I like this method. I think I will try it a few more times before sayings its all good.
Just wondering if anyone else has tried this?
If so, what were the results?

Im pretty sure you shouldnt do that as you will be recovering some ethanol into your recovery tank, which is probably not good. + 5% water. id empty and clean out that tank.
Sorry if this has been covered havent found an answer, pm me a link if need be..
How do you distinguish butane from propane when burping?
If water is the only concern then its not a big deal. My parker 303 will certainly grab any water that may have been picked up.
So GW, >.. I was told through the grapevine that originally you made the 1st terpenator to be ran with ethanol in the collection... Any truth to this rumor?
