Last day of nutes before flushing (for the Critical/Toxic).
I have a feeling the Blue Power could still use nutes for a few more days before her flush but the Critical and Toxic are good to start flushing now.

I'll just see how the BP is tomorrow before deciding on flushing her yet or wait.

The Blue Power still has a few days of nutes left I think before the flushing begins.

The Critical is putting out new pistils. Not sure if that's a good thing or not at this stage in the cycle.

I'll just keep flushing until she's ready.

Here they are today. Still on their flushing phase.

I would have thought the Critical was about to stop growth but it's still trucking along slowly.


Siftedunity > Interestingly. The smells aren't as prominent compared to when I was feeding them Sifted. I'm sure that there's a relationship with feeding them nutes and terpene production.

I have a feeling that flushing them is probably hampering; swelling, ripening and terpene production.

It might be worth me giving them a light nute feeding until chop day (around 300-500 PPM) and I'm considering putting them back on some light nutes just so I'm not missing out on the full aroma profile that these girls have to offer

I gave them a light feeding and within 12 hours they started to develop their smells again.

Cutting out nutes towards the end of the cycle would surely lower yield. Flushing would definitely improve final flavour.

Surely, there's a happy medium between the two (low PPM towards the end of the flowering cycle instead of 0 PPM)

This allows the plants to have some nutrition to continue on their biological processes and reduces plant shock. I think it's best to just limit the amounts of Nitrogen they receive towards the end but everything else would still benefit them.

The Critical looks good. Almost ready... just waiting on the trichs and final ripening.

The Blue Power has another 1-2 weeks as does the Toxic


I gave them a shot of amino acids last night. I wish I had thought about it a long time ago.... bit of an experiment.

I used some Optimum Nutrition - Amino Energy. It's actually a health food supplement meant for humans but I figured it had all the L- Amino acids in micronized form. I wonder if the plants will even take it up in the roots? I'm sure amino acids would be better taken up through foliar feeding but this late in the flowering cycle - I wouldn't risk it haha

Here they are today.

Thankfully - they didn't die from drinking up those amino acids I fed to them... interestingly there was a few other things in Optimum Nutrition's - Amino Energy ingrediants that were questionable (green tea extract, coffee and caffeine, sucralose, lecithin etc) I wouldn't mind consuming it but plants on the other hand.... LOL. I'm all for crazy experimentation!

The Toxic has mostly cloudy trichs at the moment so she's close to being done.
The Critical has mostly clear trichs. I would have thought she would be finished up by now but it's my fault for messing with the feeds lol I do want cloudy/amber trichs on the critical.
The Blue Power is easily the slowest of the tent and looks like she needs more time to finish.

Last night I gave them a shot of Ozi Tonic which I'll be using to finish them on. I'm not a big fan of how much Nitrogen they have in the formula so I'll need to play around with the mix to get it right (might take me a few goes). Ozi Tonic is said to contain Triacontonal, Humic/Fulvic acids, Seaweed as well as other useful growth factors.... I'm very curious as to the effect they will have on the plants during their final phase of flowering.

I like what I see , and have gleaned a few tips from your thread already. For example , after seeing how soon ,you went to flower and seeing how much stretch you are having with an led light, I thought maybe I should reconsider my 6 week veg and start blooming this sunday at 5 weeks.

You see I am an led guy as well ,and well, yeah, this thread is relevant to me.

As for you:
You take good pics, you update daily , and even when you have noone in the bleachers, you plug along, and keep it consistent with new content - DAILY - I might add, and keet great records and notes for all your grows, which to me is obvious. I admire your hard work.

In a few more weeks , lets get a weighin and a smoke report, k? Cause, like, yeah , thats the best part right ??

Since applying the Ozi Tonic I noticed a rapid change in maturation with the Critical. Her pistils started to brown and recede rapidly which is a great sign.

The Blue Power is still developing colours and what I have been experimenting on is giving them a low EC feed at lights on and about 2 hours before lights off they get some plain PH'd tap water.
The Toxic is almost good to go as well so the timing of harvest on these girls might be close.

I defoliated a bit more of the middle growth on the Critical and the Toxic. Not long to go !

5 weeks veg is good timing man. I wouldn't recommend much more unless you topped/fimmed or did much training. Less can work out to be more sometimes as I think I vegged for too long haha

Here they are today. I finally feel like they will be fine on 0 nutes and just plain ph'd water.

Trying to draw out as many colours for the Blue Power as I can.... you should hopefully see much more colouration within the next few days.

I redid the poly brace today (bad mistake)

The plants started toppling over and I almost snapped them lol luckily I made a recovery and instead of putting the Toxic back in it's place. She's now leaning more to the side haha

I removed some of the bigger fan leaves to let more light penetrate.

Here they are today. Still peeping the trichs and everything is steadily coming to a finish...
I think I gave the Blue Power too much Nitrogen at some point, as she has some funky leaves at the top.

Cinderella Man > I feel like these Apollo panels are quite good. I customised my LED array to include some IR 720nm chips. This helps induce the emerson effect which enhances photosynthesis. You'll have fun with these lights man.

The Apollo 8 that I use draws about 280 watts of power. A good compromise between a 400 watt HPS that I used to use and puts out less heat.

The Critical was chopped down and harvested today. She did look like she could go another few days but my stash is pretty much finished so I had to take her down. The leaves were still pretty green (my fault on that by giving them Ozi Tonic so late in the flowering phase haha)

She was an easy to grow plant and has now made more room for the Blue Power and Toxic....

Cinderella Man > Yeah mate I love the fox tailed buds also I think the Ozi Tonic contributed to that because all plants started doing that after applying the Ozi Tonic.

In retrospect - I should have used the Ozi Tonic sooner around day 40ish but I didn't have it until very late in the cycle. The fox tailing does look pretty cool though IMO.
