How do you know it is sad for those losing their balance? They may have started off the evening with the goal of getting so shitfaced that they couldn't stand up straight.

You are being way to judgemental Asche.

I have been that innebriated numerous times in my youthful days...though I never had the pleasure of falling on my face like that (OUCH!). I remember leaving the house on a Saturday night with the stated goal of getting so drunk that I would puke...did that a whole bunch of times. I didn't lose control, it was my goal, and all I lost was my balance and some gastric juices.

You obviously choose NOT to to get inebriated, that doesn't make you judge and jury over how others live their lives.

If you look hard enough, you can find the negative in most anything.

If it's one thing I know, people will willingly destroy their environment, and their bodies.

I know plenty of folks who would say that we IC members are wasting our lives growing and smoking marijuana.

It's all a matter of perspective.

I think I understand what you were saying, Asche.

It's an empathy thing.
And humor, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

I like wry, dry, clever humor.
It's my thing.

Some folks laugh their asses off to see someone else get injured.
When I see a bad fall, I feel the pain.
Can't help but think about that, and the damage done, the expenses and the recovery time.

Not a good/bad judgement.
We am who we am.
I'm guessing that it's just how we were raised?

let's look @ this logically. I'm sure they value their lives, in the case of Santa and his face plant it appears to me that he only momentarily lost control of his life, a mere 3 seconds. Let's consider that Santa just spent the last 2 weeks leading up to Christmas with crying kids in his lap demanding toys he never even heard of.

I need a fucking drink just thinkin' about it
