What's new

Ducksfoot

I managed to finish a duck indoors, albeit on a table next to a window where it got a few hrs direct sun/day. I didn't think it'd really amount to much so I put it into a small 10ltr container and it exploded... ended up with a fair bit of bud for such a small root system and such low amounts of light. I had to kill a couple of smaller plants as this beast took up the entire window. Here's a few pix...

those little white things in one of the pics are my size 10's!!! this strain is one I cannot wait to run on my uncle property up in Nth NSW where he'll let me let em get as big as they want. Just don't have enough space here in the burbs for big outdoor sativas.

Love the grow, hopefully someday DF will be more accessible. I've still yet to see it in person or seedbank :( one day, someday :)

I dont think many here know who you are Donald. He is the man that made this strain. I dont think there is anyone that has more knowledge about ducksfoot then the breeder.

Great indoor Ducks foot VB she is a excellent representation of the ducksfoot strain.

Monkey dude your hardcore stivas are not going to finish up in time. that is unless you live in a tropical climate, and as for the one indoors ya with little light in veg it will explode. its looking for more light.

Its possible it originated there ,
but has been in australia for quite sometime up to 16 yrs from what we know
, and
likely crossed with some aussie sativa , given the first plants we saw.

The webbed indica certainly came from hawaii .

Hi mate, I heard that ducksfoot was around Oz -
Nimbin specifically in the 80s. Unless you named it - in which case it was merely a line with webbed leaves that was around.

heya bushy ,,
no i cant claim to have named it ,
the plants i first got and saw were called "ducksfoot"

its possible that it could have come from that way , as ive also heard folks talk of having it prior to me seeing it ...
and ive had a lot of hawaiins show me webbed plants and ive grown some from there that were webbed ,
they said there was an indica webbed variety anda more sativa webbed variety ..

i thought it was special enough that it needed to be preserved ,
best way was to make it available to everyone ,
i think it was a success .....

thanks, the auto ducksfoot project is coming along great I have F2's that I am about to sprout, hopefully I find some webbed auto's in this generation.

Hiya DM, read some article about moon's MBS getting some very good reviews in N.A. Cangrats to you and yours. Excellent news. Regarding the Duck, I'm not sure what you have seen but I've run it down in Vic for a few years now and I'm sure it's beginning to acclimatise, as ridiculous as that may sound I have my plants finish very quickly outdoors and even the one on the previous page finished on a window sill! We've (the Mrs and I) only just finished her as she produced a decent amount and had her right where I like he, not racy, just the nice, laid back and happy as a pig in shit duck high I've come to love. Thanks mate and again, great to see the work getting it's respect half way across the world...

Nice man! I've only had the pleasure of running her outdoors a cpl of times but she can get monstrously large, like a green octopus, arms flailing all over the place. I have had a few though that grow in a single cola/christmas tree shape and that's when I've pulled buds similar to the one's in your pics... just not that chunky. (bud envy...) I can see that's one healthy looking girl, nice thick stem and no nute deficiencies which is where I had probs on my first grow and got fixed 2nd time rnd. You really have em dialled in mate, best of luck to ya.
