I have a very good friend who started out doing street art. He lived in Chicago right out of high school and would put up stickers every where because the most you got was a civil infraction for 'illegal advertisement' where painting could get a misdemeanor crimes. He moved back home and started doing some stickering but eventually moved to large pieces of cardboard he would put up then got board with that. This was his first 'criminal' painting, it was in a park and was tagged as Bonus Saves in the lower corner. He did a few other wonderful pieces in that park but eventually a letter made it to him through a channel of friends. I'll try to locate it and transcribe exactly what it says, long and short they said 'this is illegal you shouldn't be doing this, we can't have people spray painting anything and everything in the park. However, we think you did a wonderful job and will not be removing any of the pieces and we love them and no charges will be filed'.

From that lonely little fawn to THIS as a commissioned artist because of the publicity of his street art locally.

There are buildings with his artwork all over the state now. I always love seeing a new piece of his randomly pop up, then I ask him and he's all 'Oh yeah so and so saw this and contacted me'
