So I came across these white flowers in one of the pastures. I used to have white violets in another life. I have purple violets everywhere now. I hoped they were White violets. There not. Does anyone know what they are? Wild Phlox? I chose not to mow them down as we have honey bees. I also may transplant some closer to the house.

Wild pansy

Viola bicolor

Also known as : American field pansy, Johnny jump-up violet

The wild pansy is the only native violet of the genus Viola in North America. This flowering garden plant can be distinguished from other pansy varieties by its longer petals than sepals. It is also the only annual Viola plant with cleistogamous flowers which means the flowers do not open as they self-pollinate.

I like to grow poppies and it is legal to do so in Canada as long as you are not milking the plant. This year I will be adding a new one called Black Swan. The one in the photo is a cross of Hen & Chicks X Nepalese that I have grown for 20 years. I sent to the UK for the Hen & Chicks, when they arrived in Canada I had to go to the post office and sign for them, if I remember right they were considered poisonous. View attachment 18991895

I really like short ribs one of my favorites. Unfortunately they were very expensive last year when we stocked up, so no short ribs. I mean like a pack of 4 was up to $30.00. More expensive than better cuts of meat.
The moon is in enormous tonight !

Keep On Rockin' In The Free World"

There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin' their feet
People sleepin' in their shoes
But there's a warnin' sign
on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin'
we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan,
but I am to them

So I try to forget it,
any way I can.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
