Morning all. Woke up to ground blizzards today. Not a lot of snow just high winds blowing it across the roads making them a skating rink. Glad I don't have to get out in it.

Called my daughter to check and see if she made it to work ok. Two hours and still not there. Like I said...glad I'm not out in it.

Will spend the morning starting up-potting starts. Two weeks into the dome and some are rooting. Have 21 and so far looking like all are gonna make it. Some need to hurry as they are starting to eat themselves up.

Daughter just chimed in and she is there. Hopefully the drive home is better.

Lights are about to pop on as 9 am is here.

Sure wish spring was here...I need to get out and spend some time in the great outdoors...

Day 3 and look at me! It's interesting to see how the lack of cannabis in my system affects my state of being. The herb really balances the whole system and I can feel it in my mood, sleep, activity level, etc. Looking forward to Friday night (the next time I smoke)for sure!

The severe cold 'warmed' to just above freezing. Going to take my pup for a walk after dinner.

Hope everyone is safe and sound!

Another chapter in Narrating my own Appendectomy.

Had a yearly physical with a sort of - General Practitioner.

Told him about the teeth problems and the Sinusitis/ supposed Trigeminal Neuralgia (side effects of the tooth problems).

He offered to give me a referral to a root canal dentist, so I have to write a letter explaining the dental science details. It's not as simple as giving him a name.

I have to write a 4 page case description because I am asking him to question the judgment of a root canal dentist, who has already said 'no' to my request for 2 more root canals.

The root canal dentist is saying that Symptomatic pain can not co-exist with Neuralgia. That is just plain incorrect.

This leaves the GP in a wierd position - questioning a dentist, regarding the dentist's judgment. At the patient's request.

Like I said, like narrating my own fvcking appendectomy. But simultaneously really, really interesting. Like learning Dentistry with a gun held to my head.

I got my back door fixed so I could engage in Medical Tourism. Didn't want to ask a friend to take care of the cat, then give them keys to a Glitchy Door.

Since I am definitely slowed down, and feeling my age, I concentrate on simple things like paying bills, and laying down.

I also like re-loading, though right now I am doing it at a turtle's pace. I just got some 77 grain .223/.224 bullets (for a 5.56), and some 100 grain .243.

It's nice to do something with my hands, because it keeps me focussed on something real.

I got the birds corraled - FINALLY ! The trick is letting them show their true nature. Are they indoor birds or outdoor birds ? Well, 2 of them are indoor birds.

What makes a bird an outdoor bird ? If it flies into your office in the middle of the night and messes up your desk.

Evening brothers of the bud.

Nothing really going on today. Only two ended up showing roots...up-potted. Popped a few jars and.....well if is said much more I would be making it up.

So....had to go shopping with the wife. Remember, snowing. So wtf else is there to do. Koh''s and Bed Bath and Beyond. Let me tell ya.....an o'l hippie's wet dream. So happy I can't stand myself.

Out to dinner and here I sat loaded again.

Phatty, you had a hell of a day yourself. Thinking mine was boring but yours was a real winner. Sorry about all the issues dude. Hope tomorrow is better.

So, Miner....what are you trying to accomplish by fasting for 3 days at a time. Does the lack of cannabis make you enjoy the experience more? I could see that but having to go without would be torture to me. No Thanks....

Ester, take another pain pill and call in the morning....

Morning, everyone. I'm a sleepy boy- wow. It's official- cannabis helps me sleep soundly and I see that clearly, now.

Putembk- I'm taking a tolerance break but tonight I am breaking that fast. 3 days is plenty. I need a good night sleep and, dammit, I am going to get that tonight. Today I gotta keep myself in check at work so I'm not an asshole because I am so tired.

Good morning all. Sucking down some coffee and trying to clear the cob webs out of my head. Glad you guys slept well. In and out all night. Typical.....compounded by drama on another site. ( I just wanta have fun. Leave me alone).

Two more starts are showing roots today....will find them a new home today. I have a Golden Pineapple that has been hanging for 5 days now and is getting close to a dry trim. Wish it would hurry as I am out of that flavor. (wife and daughter love the stuff).

Will try and walk today when it warms up some. Golf course is obviously closed and I like walking out there. Nobody but me and my thoughts....and a bowl. About 6 miles if I walk the perimeter of the whole course.....tough to do walking in snow.

I need a fishing break....times like this I wish I lived in a warmer climate.....Then I remember I am in Colorado and will wait. Being here is worth it.

Wife has breakfast almost done....time to eat....

Good evening everyone, work has been hectic so far this week.....so looking forward to the weekend.
Shucking seeds this evening (on purpose) but reminds me of years ago before I grew my own and had to smoke seeded Mexican swag. :puke:

Morning, all. Hope everyone is feeling good. I got sick yesterday so they kicked me out of work. I work in healthcare and the minute someone has symptoms they get you the hell out of there.
I am staying home today, relaxing and resting. I have that guilty feeling but what can you do?

Save all your kleenex. They weigh them to see how much mucus your body has expelled.

No wonder they say to drink fluids.

if your body is expelling 1 pound of mucus a day, that's a pint of water.

Morning all....wait Afternoon instead. Been trimming and running the snow blower as well. 6" of fresh power over night. As soon as the snow stopped I had to take a break and get rid of the snow.

I did my driveway as well as two others. Everybody is up there in age on my block and many can't do yard work any more let alone shovel snow. They appreciate it and it keeps me in their good graces in case they every get a whiff of what I am doing in my basement.

Good for you Miner....I wish all would stay home when sick. All employers should provide sick days. Who ever is sick ain't worth a damn and doesn't really get anything done except infecting other who ain't worth a dam.

I need to get back to trimming.....Golden Pineapple....

Finally had an appointment with a woman dentist, outside of the local dentist Mafia.

She backed off the "it's all in your head, there is no tooth pain, go see an ENT specialist" that the previous 2 dentists told me.

It sounds like she is willing to trust my physical feeling about which teeth are involved in the pain. i.e. to root canal the teeth I'm asking her to root canal.

My physical feeling about the location of the pain also coincides with, simply, the teeth that have had the most cavities and procedures. The specific teeth that have been a source of pain in the past.

But using X-Rays, 3D X-rays, and other techniques to try & narrow it down.

In the mean-time, I'm re-loading in slow motion. That right there is a 100 grain 243 (6 mm). I like Starline brass, this is Starline brass.

Notice the crimp ? Didn't want to mess up the page formatting so left it with the attachment photos. If you open them both up and look at them, the reflection sort of "rocks" and it makes a tiny part of re-loading more obvious - the Crimp.

I LOVE a good crimp. :woohoo: The main effect it has on the performance is, it delays the movement of the bullet by a few micro-seconds. During that time, pressure builds a little. So it tends to increase muzzle velocity.

BUT we are talking about 50,000 psi vs. copper wrapped around lead. So, it may not increase muzzle velocity a measurable amount.

A lot of people who re-load are fanatical about the neck tension on the brass, i.e. the EXACT diameter of where the bullet fits. They do not crimp.

For me it's just a workmanship thing.

My home is currently like a Swedish hospital where the patients direct their own care. There are outdoor activities like cutting wood and indoor activities like Netflix and re-loading.

Going to put my gym membership on medical hold which is a big step. They said they would give me some passes so I can continue using it as a social place and sit in the hot tub, which is all I've been doing the last 3 months.
