I suppose I could list them all off but like Jaws...... the list is lonnnngggg.
picture 5 x 50 caliber military surplus ammuntion cans filled to the top.
Those stay in the freezer and I have a 6th and 7th 50 cal plastic Cabelas ammo cans that stay in the fridge. One for my work and one for anything I might pop within a year or so.
I would safely say there is 3 or 4 kilograms of seed minus the packaging

Guy has more beans than James bean 🫘 himself!!! Unbelievable!

Nice collection! I see you got Kushage and Sage n Sour Regs in your collection...do you know how old they are? the Kushage was one of my first strains, when I started growing and I miss that incredible Aroma! Unfortunately they changed the parents, today this strain is not even close to the original

I had to quit growing at home in 2005 and came back to it at the end of 2015. I paid no attention to the cannabis community in that 10 years so when I joined icmag, my first online forum presence, I had a lot of catching up to do. Shortly after my return to growing my mentor , in his late 70's at the time laid some old seed on me. Poorly stored though and much of it won't germ and have grey colors. Then a few years ago a forum friend laid some beans on me that were quite old as well but were freezer stored and those germed great. So now anything I know I might be able to fit into the garden in the next 12 to 24 months, stays in the fridge and everything else gets stored in the freezer. I use a dedicated appliance for seeds only.
My plan is to be able to leave a viable seed collection that covers a vast array of genetics, modern and older in my will to my youngest son and nephew when I leave this plain. Everyone with a collection of seeds of any value, dollar wise or genetic wise , should consider including thier seed collection in thier will to a younger grower who can carry on and put the seeds to use. That's my plan anyways.

I need to inventory my collection.

Question. Any of you collectors have an ultimate plan in which you grow your collection out? I have a hard time wrapping my head around it. Always trying to devise anothor overcrowded pheno hunt and making and purchasing more seeds.

its a process my friend, been dealing with that same thing for years. i think i have what i want to grow next and then it seems the closer i get to seed drop things just get messy.

i always try to grow something of my own making and some from friends then breed for something new, the newest problem i have caused myself is i dropped shields and took in some cuts and now i have those to account for in each run. it can get overwhelming so you just have to set your mind drop and go. and yes you will say to yourself after that fact and when its to late, SHITE i should have popped those it happens to me almost ever run.

Thats a lotta seeds! I showed my wife your seed collection. she dont bother me no more when she catches me making my christmas wish list, and birthday, oh and fathers day! list! lol!
I been wanting to try roseetta stone! just sounds good to me! get me some rosetta stone, so many to chose, then i get all confused!

I have a good sized tupperware cont. filled,every yr. I order seeds and say I'm done,yet ev new season I'm ordering more,have so many pks opened that I grew a few seeds and never ran them again,that's how it builds up over the yrs.I store in the fridge w/rice and some silica pks that are used in shipping to adsorb any moisture. I'm a outdoor guy and my state is legal now since 2016. Used to be a lucrative hobby that returned 10X what I'd invest,now grass is almost worthless in MA. My city started w/one dispensary and for a few yrs. things were still good.Now the greedy ass politicians have granted WAY too many licenses,there are 4 stores within a mile and a 1/2 from my house.Don't know how they survive w/all the fees/taxes/help/etc and have no idea how the indoor they sell is so cheap(they are supposed to buy licensed herb grown from in state facilities.How a facility w/all the lights,air con/heat.electricity,pumps(if hydro),building rent/mortgage,license fees,nutrients,help grow/trim are making profit w/prices at dispensary's w/their own fees/help/security/rent/tax etc. makes no sense. In MA pot stores=pizza joints.

It's changed since I posted that. Seeds get added all the time. At my age, it is time to slow down on the seed making and start growing what I've not grown or very few grown. I don't need to make any more or buy any,.
