Lambsbread. But you really should talk to a doctor not for a script but a psychologist so that you can get to the root of the problem and try to fix it rather than just mask it. There is hope. You don't have to suffer. All the best, pal!

Yep... anything but Rx unless there's absolutely no hope for it... but there's hope for you. :D
I would look for limonene. Strains with that smell lemony and are really good for the head. :D

Princess Diesel Would LOVE a cut of this as my seed stock is gone and all mums have been destroyed. *sigh* Giggle-happy stuff. Motivational. Not lemony but damn good. Supposedly Ice-Princess... the right cut of it.

Satori Lots of lemon, happy stuff. Several phenos though and some with heavy indica... have to sort through.

Lemon Larry I'm told it has TONS of limonene and is always kept by growers for head stash.

Maybe a Lemon Skunk... but with that much afghani in it you may have problems with high edibles intake.

Might I recommend the things that will make the most difference over time?

- Change your diet. Start choosing your foods for your blood type, eat as much as you want. Just stay away from foods on your avoid list and processed foods.

- Start setting short-range achievable goals and achieving them. Your brain will reward you with lots of endorphins.... happy-chems. The human brain is hardwired to reward achievement with happy-chems... take advantage of that.

- Walk 5-10 minutes a day if you can. If you can't, walk a few steps.... more each day.

- You're already looking for a compatible strain... when you find it make canna-pills using the information from eloquentsolution and GrayWolf. Use olive oil and powdered oatmeal as your base instead. Eat them 2-3 times a day depending on how long they last..... every day. You'll thank me. :D

- Keep growing. I find a small scrog to be very relaxing. :D

- Most important? Attitude. Manually adjust your attitude any time you remember/can. :D

You don't need luck so I'll just say....

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles: :D

Is your state a MMJ state? If so try something called CheebaChews from the dispensary. They come in Sativa meds and taste and look something like tootsie rolls. They are a bit too strong for me but you can cut them up to get the right strength for you. Good luck.

Ya know I have dived through allot of Mr Nice haze hybrids and not all of them are Tachycardia inducing. Some are the very best euphoria and mixed mania inducing stuff I have ever tried without any of the crazy para tachy shizo material. You might be scared of haze because of other grower's selections you have tried but if you do a dive through just one pack I am absolutely shure==to the T that you will find what your looking for. SSH and Mango Haze are litterally the best there is. Something in a pack for everyone there is an experience versus a high. For what you looking for in the SSH i would say select more towards the colombiano side.

I just started 7 of their Angel's Breath wich has a little more Afghan than than Skunk. He says that these recent select hybrids were more for flavor as he already knows the power is there. I think Shanti selects more for happy euphoria and sweeter incense fruit flavor while Nevil is more into the racier rollercoaster soapy metalic incense stuff (just a theory based on reading). but I would love to have somebody to run them with as there no reports at all on the smoke and very few on the grow.

Another thing that I would employ is changing some of the lights in your living space to coolwhite instead of standard warm and try your best to regulate your sleeping habbits. Go to bed the same time everyday make sure its quiet and dark and get up when you get that boost of oxy if your a physically healthy male you will know when its time to get up when you get your morning stiffy or when you really have to pee. dont over sleep. The first thing that you will notice when dealing with the mentally disturbed or mentally ill is irregular sleep patterns. Stay away from caffine. Its toxic to mental and arterial health. It can happen to anyone and it does not mean your crazy, just imbalanced emotionally. get b12 sublingual for energy and vitamin D is very important vitamin in countering depression. Ever notice your happier in the islands and more down in winter months? Ever noticed when you work night shift your more down. Ever notice when you sleep in and avoid the day your more down? All from avoiding sunlight and lack in vita-D produce by your skin naturally in the skin from good old sunshine

Exactly. I've suffered from (actual, diagnosed, clinical) depression for a large part of my adult life. Almost invariably, the one thing that DOES NOT help is smoking more herb. Just a thought.

I whole heartedly agree. Herb has its place as a medicinal substance, but in the case of depression, it is best to be properly diagnosed and treated by a professional.

Weed DID NOT help and actually worsened my depression AND triggered anxiety attacks. Psychologist was only able to help to a degree and I had to see a Psychiatrist for further diagnoses and meds.

And they don't always get the meds right first time. Sometimes it takes some dosage adjustments or changes. You gotta work with them.

Once I got my shit straight I was able to go off the meds. No shrinks, no pills. But I still get the occasional anxiety attack if I over imbibe in something really heady.

I love my weed, but it is NOT a cure all and everyone needs to recognize and understand that. And since depression and anxiety often go hand in hand, some of the hazier shit you guys are recommending could make things 10 x worse with truly terrifying anxiety.

Ace Guatemala is said to have a focused happy buzz.
I would also recommend African and Himalayan sats.
But don't just focus on sativa, some indicas have uplifting and anti deppressive highs.

im in the same boat for years.. and I can tell that dep. comes with anxeity... and sativas is NO GO if u have that !!!! I would go for a relaxing indica like MIZ, Lemon Kush ( female seeds)... but DO TRY to take D-VITAMIN .. it has helped me way more than any pill. A bloodsampel can tell if u lack D.vit. Most do when they have dep. Ned more advice PM me bro :)

i think smoking weed for depression is a shit idea. its the same league like taking anti-depressants to me, basically a band-aid solution that will backfire in the long run.

try regular exercise, lots of sunlight, meditation and fix your diet (throw out all carbs, sugar, processed food and all that shit). that should make a whole world of a difference already.

Feeling good is good enough.

I suspect that a nice Mental Floss plant (Blueberry dominant) would be nice for your needs. As for Sativas... I would go for Mango Haze, but carefully selected according to your needs.

Be well,

I've run the gambit of species and strains and have come to the conclusion that, for me anyways, there is really not any strain of herb that mitigates the symptoms of depression in the long term, only the short term. There are certain strains (Kali Mist, H.O.G., C99 come to mind) that are not as bad about it, but overall I find herb to be quite unhelpful with the condition.

See my previous comments.... the herb isn't a cure, it's only an aide. It can't change the course of the ship.

Your diet and or lifestyle needs to change.

I would also suggest getting a hormone panel done. If your testosterone levels are too low and Estrogen too high, you'll get pretty depressed pretty quickly. Getting your test into the normal range can make a 180° difference! This should be done along with getting help from a psychologist/psychiatrist.

I don't have noticeable issues with depression any longer as a result of lifestyle changes. I also smoke far less herb than I did when I had depression. In my case, that is not a coincidence.
