Quack, Quack - The Return of a Duckfoot Anomaly

It's been quite a few years since I've enjoyed this presentation which makes me curious how many others have encountered such a mutation.

Flanked by a pair of clones from my first dedicated Mother Plant (a partially harvested then revegged specimen), Quackie should leapfrog next week over the normal second stage 1 gal container to the extended stage 3 gal system to give it enough wiggle room to offer a few cuts by the end of June.

Relatively trouble free exchange; should easily be able to pull clones before the start of July.

The leading trio of initial cuttings from my dedicated Mother Plant will likely provide clones as well before they shift to flower at the same time.

Many of my seemingly random and pointless updates here are actually to give me a workable link to post pics to another forum where uploading images has been and remain an unresolved issue. My fascination with this anomaly and the intention to try to clone and propagate may ultimately prove futile as all these machinations will be conducted before determining whether it is a female. Should the worst case scenario unfold, at least having a broader pool of specimens to collect pollen from might offer the opportunity to infuse my singular female (and subsequent cuttings) with this unique silhouette.
The timeline sketched out for pulling new cuts from both the dedicated Mother and her clones is set at the tenth - I already snuck ahead of that and pulled two fresh clones from the first generation a few days ago which may be ready to hit the soil when I take the new samples. Currently working, I've got five from the first wave and three from the second now joined by the two latest taken from the first batch.

In a completely separate universe I managed to sprout two seeds outdoors which will work independently from the indoor adventures.

Holding off until the 10th to top this unicorn will be one of the more challenging tests of my patience but with the hindsight of prior efforts, I know that in the interest of staging the most productive matrix it's worth it in the end. Of the eight rooted clones taken from the dedicated Momma, one remains on the guarded side of success which gives me seven little Indians marching ahead toward a more assured path to success. The comingled grouping of the first and second waves lines up to have sequential flowering leading to harvesting at the end of August, September, and October if not beyond; clones established between now and then should fill in the blanks for November, December and then on into perpetuity.

The leading pair (who already provided the first cuts as second generation clones) are easily outpaced by Quackie who is currently hogging the spotlight. They are tentatively scheduled to hit short hours at the end of June and between now and then they'll graduate to the 3 gal extended veg system. Likely begin flowering in those before bumping once again to 5 gal for their long ride.

Another pair nearly as robust as them are working alongside the Momma in a roomier 150 watt Growplanner cabinet and will offer the next series of cuts along with a pair from the OG donor. That's scheduled for the 10th when Quackie gets topped.

Still on a tapwater diet, it was given a spritz for the glamour shot for today's update. Approaching one month from seed it's doing as well as anything yet and provides a pretty stark contrast of the growth pattern in comparison to the clones that are taking over the focus of my efforts for the the rest of the year. Eventual cuts taken from this will hope to extend the unique bloodline whether male or female.

Getting some color in the yard now with the Zinnias offering all these shades from seeds dropped last year. Store bought peppers are already starting to bear fruit as well and the tomatoes and squash soon to follow.

Only took about 30 minutes to upgrade the indoor efforts; Quackie to 5 gal and the five from the first round of clones up the 3 gal. The second wave get another few weeks in the 1 gal while the third batch is still in the test tubes trying to form enough roots to shift to soil.

A friendly grouping of mint - Chocolate in the center, flanked by matching Catnip, Peppermint, nd Basil rounding out the front row and a smattering of Sweet mint ensconced in the six repurposed coffee containers along the back.

A more exposed spot on the other side of the yard has some pretty vigorous Peppermint hiding behind a newly repotted Tomato.

Topped and trimmed Quackie two days ago, with a surprisingly vigorous lateral branch from below large enough to offer itself as the first clone; pictured alongside a pair of second generation cuts from the first wave and two sprigs of Chocolate mint seeing if they root as rapidly as the Ganj'.

After languishing in a closet for about 16 months, it only took about two and a half hours to construct this new toy - didn't fall off the ladder even once.

Looking for yet another to replace one that's seen better days.

With these heading to short hours by the end of the month I'll finally have lined up the perpetual which will have at least two mature gals ready for harvest at the end of each month following August. If everything develops as well as these I should realistically be able to think about experimenting with the BrassNwood tincture or other concentrates.
