that sounds nice. too bad they don't have many seeds out for sale. When I searched the only place I see that carries their seeds is Sbay and they only have one strain. Although I will look more into that one. have you checked out they others they have. They all look pretty nice. Would be interested in seeing and hearing more about them.

He does have some nice stuff,he used a double purple dojo male x to Granndaddy purple clone to make the Magic Merlin. In the F2 ,im seeing 2 -3 different plant types.A small pointy leaf plant ,grows slow, and comes out super purple, and a fairly small yield. And a larger indica giant, that grows 2-3 times the speed of the 1st type.

GDP seems to dominate the cross on all the plants ive grown out,the bigger plant type i'll be flowering soon ,in search of the cash cropper pheno, its their ,im sure of it .

Look into Cores Seedbay freebies with the PurpleBastard hybrids. The PB is a Jaws creation consisting of BlackWidow x DoublePurpleDoja and is a massive purple yielder, with badass potency as well. Core did some PB projects including a PB bx called PeeWee. 008(PeeWee x 7Weeker) is/was a seedbay freebie. The Misfit(PurpleBastard x Bogglegum F2) is/was also a freebie. I have a pack of PB x (B3/N7Erdpurt x RoyalDane) that im itchin to pop....some killer purps in there i bet.

Stay Safe

What up folks?! These purps all turn purple regardless of temp. and go darker the cooler it is. The pics below are of a friend's cross im testing. It is (Deep Chunk x Bubba Kush) x BlockHead. This is one of 2 phenos and you can make this cross yourself.

I have to give it to Bandit on the purple off! He has the cuts I want when I grow up!! We also got some legends visiting in this thread so I would listen if I were you when they speak of Purple pimps!!

If you are in Cali there is no reason not to have genetics to get you started with your own crosses or to just get some type of Cali Purple. The issue is finding the girl that yields. I would look into some of the cuts Bandito gifted the community to start for sure!! Purple the world!!!

hey rainman: are u using co2... ?

some beautiful purples in here...although...some are almost white...hehehehe

Was NOT trying to insult the Purple pimp....I recognize the breeders and veterans when they do show their faces. Some serious trichs on that plant...would love to see a full plant shot!

Rainman- Thanks for stopping by! Those are some gorgeous buds. Right now on Sbay they have some Magic Merlin which I was thinking about getting and testing out. I have never bred any seeds and honestly don’t know much about the process. I’ve done a lot of reading on everything else except that area. I’ve actually only been growing for a little over a year and have tested many strains but still haven’t found that perfect one yet. Maybe breeding is the answer. There are many different clones in my area so it would be a possibility. I don’t know why but I am a little intimidated by it but trying things out are the only way to get good at it plus the cross would be your own little creation of excellence. Is that blueberry crack a mix with blueberry and green crack? Just wondering. Again, thanks for the beautiful shots. Share as much budporn as you got
Bandit- You got some purple madness going on. I agree with Rainman that those are some excellent finds. I have never heard of either. Tell me more about that Nancy Botwin. What is it and how did you acquire it? Also I do have access to OG Kush all the time but I don’t see mendo purps floatin around too often. I usually look on bayareacannabis to see what others have for sale. Got any other recommendations for locations for clones if you are located in northern cali (not sure if you are). Also thanks for the tips you gave. Very useful to any grower. I usually top once during veg and do a little tying down but my canopy is not even close to how even you have it. When I get my camera back from my lady I’ll take a couple photos. Right now I am testing out with Blue Cheese and Grape Ape so it was a little hard to keep an even canopy because the cheese stretched so much more. Although once I get the strain that I desire then I hope to have my canopy just the way you described it. Also I’m gonna check out that post after writing this message. Also thanks for sharing your process of finding your ladies. You have helped out so much. Same as I mentioned to Rainman feel free to post as much purple goodness as you got. I’ll be checking out your photos in a bit.
elmanito- Thanks for sharing your purple. I have never heard of Viking but with a 6 week time and large yield you can’t go wrong. Is this strain still floating around?
fjällhöga- That purple pimp looks frosty. I can’t seem to find any info about this one. I take that back. Just found http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=48604&highlight=purple+pimmp
Looks like a killer strain. Thanks for the suggestion. I have a lot of reading to do.
Krk and dankfrank- thanks for stickin around the thread. Your feedback is more than appreciated. Also dank frank check out that link I posted above. There is some purple pimp that looks a bit different. I guess there are a couple different phenos for that one.
Snagglepuss- Thanks for coming in and talking about that Magic. I’ve decided I’m gonna give that one a shot. I took a look through your pictures and even though they aren’t all labeled I take it the magic is some of the photos on page 5 and 6. If you could, tell me which ones are the magic and which are the others. Also feel free to post some pics if you want to show those pretty purps because they look kills.
GDK- thanks for coming and giving an answer. I looked on Sbay but wasn’t able to find the strains you were talking about. I wonder if they aren’t there anymore. Those sound like some sweet freebies.
Everyone- I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone and there contribution. I got a shit load of answers within ONE day actually less. I have so many purple plants to check out now. What a hard choice. I would love to keep this forum alive and have even more people show their high class purple. So if you got some you want to share be my guest. Talk to you guys soon.

WOW, how can I come with the words to express my appreciation of all your comments, Rainman, Freedomfightr, sir23, dank frank, norcallkell, krk and all other's I can't remember

Sir23-- Thanks man... much love... If I was running bluecheese an d grape Ape together with two hood(bulbs/lights), I would put the ALL the GAPES under one HOOD, and ALL the BLUECHZ's under the other and raise the light's accordingly, although it sucks to take this route because of the side lighting you get in between the two hoods, you lose it kinda... Or you can do the Following using 2 hoods or one:

---I would get the shorter of the ladies(in this case the GAPES), and buy or get something to set them all to the height (as close as or evenly with) as the the rest of the plants that are taller(BC)---(I buy the buckets @ Home Chepo, they have the big 5's, the medium 2.5 o3's, and the lil colored pails, and I use those to prop the shorty's up with)

OR another route to take(the more Ideal),,,,, is to Veg the GAPES roughly a month or so, before you need to set Flower on the BLUE CHZ's...

ex.. if the BLUCHZ's only need 2 weeks veg before flower to end up @30-36 at the end of bloom,

you will want to, get or have rooted the GAPES ready to get vegging strong 2 weeks before you root the Lanky ones(BLU chz's or any strain that grows the same)..

I know you are already in bloom man, and you might not run this Combo again, BUT, the main reason I spread this INFO today is for your reference and anybody else that might stumblr upon this thread in search of that info...

I hope I truly helped one or many! ;) Grow Straight, Share Life!!!!

ECSD-- and this Purple is due to Cold CLimate, and IME, the purple that is acheived with Cold temps, sometimes Goes partly away after Harvesting dry and curing the nugs, at least that has been my experience with NON purple strains, I mean some color is still present, but not as much as it is when the Flowers are still in the Cold CLimate...

Here's some C99 x Kriptonite for shits and giggles--

Norcalkell - No co2 this run but I use it often.

Sirsmokes - Get into breeding your own! The only thing stopping you at this point is you. It is easy and there are several threads on here that can walk you thru getting started. You can pick from the info that pertains to your situation and get to it. Mistakes will be made but you will be a better grower and eventually breeder as well. It took me all of 2 tries t make seeds and I have been mixin and matchn ever since. You can make your own perfect purple. Peace!!

I've got 5 strains in a 95 plant garden. 3 are purples. I won't have two of the three back.
But one that I thought was going to be full of shit (Lavender) is a surprising yielder and super short. It is getting less light at the top of my stadium, and loves it there. Funny thing is... it gets less light, more heat, and less attention overall, and its thriving. I hope to be able to get it again, with out revegging a plant.

still2big. Beautiful black Russian you got there. Those nugs remind me some much of grapes. What was the name of the seed co that created these ladies? That’s too bad that it is not around. I realize that I need to veg a bit more when it comes to purple. Thanks for your input. If I ever do come across this strain I’ll jump on it.

Bandit- Thanks again for coming through with great advice. I am going to take it and raise my smaller grapes up so they can get some more light. I have more than enough 1g pots laying around that I can use to give them that boost. Also from now on I think I am going to drop the blue cheese. I am only on my 5th week but so far they don’t seem to be anything special but who knows. They could make a comeback and do wonders. The grape ape I’ve been loving. So frosty and actually forming some bigger colas by the day. I don’t think grape ape would yield much but I think I might give her another run but this time veg them out some more. Maybe around 24 in or so and then hopefully I’ll end up with a bush. Thanks for sharing some more pictures. You seem to test out a lot of different crosses but I’m wondering if you ever get a bad plant cuz everyone of your ladies is frosted to the fullest and look so healthy. Shit you could become a seed seller if you wanted. I know I would buy. I think that C99 x Kriptonite looks real nice and that she seems like a keeper although I don’t know all the aspects. Anyway, I really like all the knowledge you brought to share and I’ll be checkin out your albums and journals (if you have any) real soon. Thanks again.

Rainman-Thanks for the encouragement. It seems like breeding is the way to go. You and bandit both do it with excellent results. I noticed one of the stickys was “breeding for beginners” so I’m going to check that out to get a start. Any other resources or specific articles you can send me to that really made it easy for you when you started? Maybe it’s not even that hard and I’m just over exaggerating (I have no idea). Also you said it took you 2 tries. What happened to first time that didn’t work? Thanks again for your words and spreading that purple love earlier.

Thanks for stopin by deebee. So what were the two that you discarded? It good to hear that at least one of the purples worked out for you. Is lavender by soma or am i just mixed up? Can't you still take a clone from a flowering plant? I remember reading something like that is jorges book but I'm sure it would take quite a while to come back to veg. One of my buddies tried it once but was too impatient to wait. Although like you said, I think reveging, if you can would be a better way to go. If you got any photos I would love to see what your working with and I know that everyone loves to see a stadium. If you got some in your album then I'll be checkin them out in just a min. take it easy.

What up peoples...tried to post on this thread this past weekend but had to get my account validated and all that.
Havent really posted since O.G. days...I know been a minute...heh.
Been running my own crosses for many moons b/c it was pretty bad for a while trusting seed banks or dispensaries. My best success has been GDP x Hindu Kush. Used pollen from an awesome 11-blade male HK with a local GDP. Top-shelf, AAA grade and at least a 10% improvement on GDP yields. Runs on average low 20's percentile in THC with hardly any CBD. GDP usually runs 12-15%. Must've gotten its kick from the HK but kept all the color and bouquet of the GDP.
Since then, I've only been doing crosses with GDP using STS. I know, I know....STS can be controversial but my main concern has been genetic variation as opposed to hermies...haven't seen any.
Of course, all this work is to give the people what they want...grapes. Otherwise I'd be sticking to the big greens to pull out the real yield....Medicine Man, Chronic, Heavy Duty Fruity....you know where its at.

Peace

 Hello Dr. Mota .... I will roll us a Leno for this welcoming ....
