alcohol is more addictive than pot, should we ban it? Alcohol is just as much a drug as other substances. Did the pope really think this through?
I don't pay any attention to the pope but his statement may influence voters when it comes to initiatives. I thought Christians are under the New Covenant where each one has a relationship with God apart from any mediator. The church was not built on Peter either historically since Paul was chosen to write the most of the church documents and start churches. Christians do not need a pope telling them what to think or do.
