I got this clone from a friend who says its a trainwreck. But you all know how that story goes.

So any Wreck specialists could you tell me if this looks like a Trainwreck. Thank you.!

Looks like the TW. Hard to tell in veg though. Its called the trainwreck because one day you will come home at it will look like a trainwreck. Not that bs story about the seeds being on a trainwreck. I found that out the hard way. Its very stretchy. Branches dont get strong enough to support the buds, even with supercropping. Flower it and find out.

that looks like it could be train wreck or a wreck dominant hybrid. flowering it out will tell the whole story. look at some other threads on here. there is a good thread in the flower pix forum about the arcata cut. it's a very unique plant. chances are you have the real thing, because not many people would keep a cutting of such a floppy weird plant unless it was as good as arcata trainwreck!

i've grown it outdoors and let it go along time and found it to be a great pain reliever and silly and warped as could be. for me, it's real uniqueness was in it's ability to alieviate physical pain and energize one's mind - but energize in a very silly way.

Appreciate your quick responses guys thank you.!

I got some cuttings rooting. I'm going to flower those out and see what the skinny is. I'll keep vegging this plant and see if the result is good.

Ive found her to root very quickly and be quite a heavy feeder, she also like to stretch a ton and gets a nice coating of trichs early in bloom. She will toss nanners if you let go past 7-8 weeks but in my experience they have all been sterile.

If you have the real thing, you will fall in love with her. she needs alot of help as the stems cannot support the buds that form, other than that she should do wonders in your soil bed sog setup.

Thanks for the info Kindbudz. No more soild beds for me. I'm doing hydro and scrogs . that will help support the branches in bloom. I have this TW mom with other moms i'm working on. I'm sexing plants right now and i know this TW is a female, so that will help me have some stock for my next run until i get my new strains in order.

Nice healthy looking plants issack.

I've never grown Trainwreck from clone, but I recently popped an S1 Trainwreck seed from Jojorizo that I've had since about '04. In time she might take on some discernible characteristics. I'll try to remember to post back later with more pics.

As Stoner Gardener, i've never grown the Trainwreck clone, but like him i also grew an S1 Trainwreck from HillBilly Dreams (Steve Tuck's bank) in 2005, and it looked very alike SG's plant above, a dark pale green color, the plant grew somewhat dwarf with very serrated leafs, not very tall, and had a very fast flowering time and an incredible resin amount wich i've only seen in that plant. The buds where very sativa-like, different from some tw flowers i've seen in the web wich are far more indica dominant (very fat). My trainwreck gave little production but of exceptional quality. Smell was piney, with some mint and kind of sweet chocolate undertone, very very nice. Smell is very potent as well as the high wich is a non-failure, guaranteed high. I loved this plant, but i was given only one seed, and didn't keep a clone, so i crossed it to a Serious Seeds AK47 male, and the offspring is awesome!
This is a TW pheno of Trainwreck x Ak47

i think the trainwreck leaf pattern is very unique and quite recognizable

Its difficult to determine a strain from veg pics usually but yours could easily be the wreck or a wreck cross. Flower those girls out and post some pics... should be able to tell pretty early in flower. If she is tw then the leafs are thinner and serrated-like that smell of lemonbalm when rubbed. :yummy: Best that i can describe the smell of the finished buds is of a sweet, rotting lemon.... unique scents. In fact this entire plant is unique. Be sure to keep her close and keep us updated.

Man.. I just did a clone session on that plant and got 40 fat cuttings off her. very short and compact plant. I cant believe how many branches that thing has. what a great cloning mother to keep at the moment. It's not a sky high grower like my Jack H mom i took out.

She is under a 400w in my mother room along with other strains I'm trying to sex from seed. Those clones i just took will be my next outdoor run. and the next cuttings i get in three weeks will be in my Ebb and flow scrog hydro room under 2 1000s.

Fun plant so far.! I loved how many clones she just gave and i didn't have to completely hack her up ether. Cant wait to see it BUD.!!

Yours looks like a hybrid at this point. The leaves on the TW are very serrated and unique. I find TW to be a pretty good eater and it's not uncommon to see some darkening on the stems as thats a sure sign of a macro nute deficiency. The smell of the TW is potent and lemony, dusty and can almost induce a headache. I hope to see some updated pics and see how its growing.

Arcata TW in veg...

Arcata TW in veg...

Picture was of the stalk, mostly, but, either way some leaves present. To me though...I can never tell until the buds flower out...that is the tell all. A lot of things look just like cannabis when growing in vegetative mode... :)

There are actually TWO TW the arcdia strain which is more a stavia strain and if you get the pheno and your a good grower it can really bring it on.. light/nutes/harvesting time etc. Then there is another TW which is here in BC which is more a Indica Purple Kush cross dank as hell they call it TW and it's sweet as hell.. Looks more brown purple when you grow her and indica type leaf peace out Headband707

Oh did I say clone only lol

I have grown TW that originated from woodhorse seeds, they were
f3's and not overly stable but definitely tw dominant, they grow squat style plants that are wider then they are high most hermied but one didn't and she is the one i selected and still have.

I have also made a cross with c99 and it is again tw dominant with more resin production and very high yeilds

These pics are of the cross, the buds seem to very much be thai in my opinion

I know of only ONE Trainwreck, Arcata TW. Arcata is a town on the coast in Humboldt county, California. Grat3fulh3ad and Billygoat are separately releasing a Trainwreck backcross using The Arcata cut and billygoats oriental express (Trainwreck x Thai).

Here is a top of the original:yummy:
