Nice place! :)

Hey chef, thatnks for the interest.

Oh! SourGrapes is Brain Novacaine, cool, will adjust my bean package label...

My Muscadine Mash (GK F2s) has huge monster stems! This one is gonna be a record breaker when it grows up! At less than one month old stem is nearly 1/2 inch wide!

Hey peat, how do you like those jiffy peat (no pun intended) cubes? Like on average, How long does it take for a cutting to root in one of those cubes?

Good luck, chef! :ying:

Thanks greenatik! :respect:
Hopefully in the next week...
Still a little confused on the technique & water for the initial flush.
I'll be posting on H3ad's thread in a couple of days.
I plan on running a few coco plants side-by-side my LC Mix plants

There ya go, Lola! :D
The Musc Mash is really a good yielder.
TOP, top shelf smoke. ;)

The Brain Novacaine is like a grape version of Sour Bubble bx3.
...except, maybe better! :canabis:
The BN is a slow vegger, tho. And, dosen't yeild a lot.
Very dense nugs!

Do I now have a Theme Song!?! :jump:

Hey pontiac!
The cubes have been doing very well for me.
But, they take a relatively long time.
2-3 wks is avg.

But these days, it seems I'm doing something wrong.
It's taking much longer. 4-6 wks.

I disected a cube/pellet of an older "yet to root" cutting (6 wks since cut).
It was fully rooted...but only half way throught the pellet.

I figure its a moisture issue.
I'm guessing that Imight be keeping them a little too wet.
Therefore, the roots aren't venturing out...

But, I dunno.
Maybe I'm keeping them too dry?

It could be that I'm compcting them too much, while trying to "firmly seat" the cutting.
Before, I was having problems with the cutting bieng too "loose" in the pellet
So, I dunno...

:listen2: I'm going to get me one of those water bottle ice cube makers ASAP!!!

I'm going to root some side-by-side...

Thanks for all the postive vibes!
I hope everybody's having a great wnd!

You have to keep those pucks wet

I use them all the time. First thing you have to do is soak them in warm water for a good 30 mins, make sure they are soaking wet

Then gently squeeze the xs water out. The pellet should kind of crack, just mold it back into some resembleance of its former shape.

Put your cutting in the bottom of the pellet, where there is no hole( it holds better and prevents "dampening off" issues. Keep those pellets moist, never let them dry out, and under a dome

I have had them in such a humid environment, I got mold on the pellets themselves. But the roots were coming out like there was no tomorrow.

about 5 days to 10 days I am transplanting them

Thanks for the prescription, Doc! :respect:

It sounds (& feels) like it's a "too dry" thing.

I'll get on 'em right now!

Late to the show Peat, but I just use my organic soil mix cut with extra perlite,or not, everything is usually done rooting in two weeks,it also seems to give them a good early boost.I also soak my cuts for a few hours(between two and oh fu%k the clones !!) and olivia's.I also use a clear cup inside the standard 20 oz party cup so I can see when the roots are forming.

Peat! How did you choose your Sour Bubble male for the Sour Rhino cross, was it one of those original 8 males from years ago?? What kinda traits were you after?

I'm planning on buying your seeds tonight, I'll gladly make a grow journal of it too.

P

Peat

Thanks for the tips, unclefishstick. :respect:
Cloning in the soil you grow in seems most ideal.
I like your double cup method, too!

Hey AGrow, you're correct. It was one of the 8.
I was looking for a male that would dominate in the cross.
Of course, there's no way to tell, until the progeny are tested.
My tests show it's very SBbx3.

But luckily, the WR came through, too.
The yeild is better than straight SBbx3. ;)

There is a little variation in the phenos.
Some lean to SBbx3.
Some, to WR.

Good luck, AGrow! :ying:
