I noticed roots growing out of the stalk after I watered her and washed away some soil.

I think that they are suckers too, but they are good ones, they're roots.

They are sucking from below and sending it up.
(I've been drinking,... and toking,... and I got into my fudge... lol)

Ya know, I'll bet that every one of those white dots is a root just waiting to grow...

I just needs moisture and media to sprout.

I might pack some soil up around the stalk and see if it takes root...

So I bought a new heater and it's doing the same thing, even worse.
It's running nonstop at 710 Watts. The temperature hit 31.5° C and stabilized at that temperature and it won't shut off.

If I turn the thermostat down just enough to kick out the heater, the temperature drops to 20°C and it won't turn back on.
What a PITA.

I'm going to put my lamp fixture back in the closet with two 60 Watt incandescent bulbs and just leave it on.

I'm going to turn my exhaust fan back off to help keep the heat in the closet.
I'll be gambling a bit with mold but I have had pretty good luck with mold in the winter with the low humidity.

I've only had mold problems during the summer with my house temperatures around 85°F and RH around 80%.

This is the shitty heater that I bought...

I decided to tear it apart and pull the fan out of it....

I've got it already, and I don't want to buy a new fan...

I removed the heater wire.
It's just the 120 VAC fan now.

Just the fan and its minimal frame...

It works...

The closet plant is showing some preflowers, but I don't think that's what you'd call the start of flowering.

I hope she's not flowering. I want her to grow more before she flowers.

She's 27 days old today.

Gorgeous node spacing...
I feel envious of your plant.
I have hard times with my clones, they are to much compact.

Thanks. :thank you:

What about the flowering?
Would you say it has started?
Should I wait to see pistils elsewhere on the plant?

I want to know when to switch to flowering nutes.

It will be 4 weeks old tomorrow so I guess it could be starting to flower.
I hope she's got a big stretch coming, I want a much bigger plant.

Like you said, they are pre-flowers. She will grow a bit more before she starts to flower. :good:

Well, that's good news.

So, I wait to see those preflowers and pistils to show up elsewhere on the plant ?

I'm not very good at recognizing flowering.

This is a picture of my last closet plant where the consensus was that flowering was starting.

So I'll just keep looking for pistils.

For the purposes of feeding bloom nutrients, I consider an auto to be flowering when the buds are about dime sized.

My closet plant...

She's a bit droopy but it's probably just one of her moods or because i turned up the side lighting to max.
(my max anyway,... the test current. )

The mystery plant looks great too...

I can't stop f¿ck!n around...

I put the seedling mix in dry, and it wouldn't hydrate.

So I flicked it out of the way and opened up the area around the seed.

She appears cold and wet, so I drained the tray and dug holes around the seed to try to get air to it.

I lowered the light to try to warm her up.

She is a week old now but I think she is struggling.

I pulled out my heating tray...
