My cats got ear mites once. Fucking disgusting critters. They can stay here when we go to Mars, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm guessing that the mites from a cats ear wouldn't survive in soil.

They should be easy to leave behind.

Unless there's 80,000 species of cat mites,?

No Cats On Mars !!*
New rule. Lol

We might have to leave our cats behind. Lol

Lovelly seedling.
Lovelly cat.
Lovelly dead gnats.

How are doing the bottom half buds?

Thanks.

Here's some picture of the bottom buds...

The sativa one,...

And the indica one...

I like the color of the indica looking one.

I have seven gnats stuck to my trap now.

I forgot to keep an eye on my drying plants.

It's only been 5 days but they were crumbly dry.

I trimmed and jarred them.

I'll weigh it once the rest of the plants are ready for the jars.

Your home rh has to be very low.
I cant dry in 5 days neither in summer lol. I live in a very humid area.

Your buds are beautiful.

The green have the better bud shape.

The purple one seems a painting. I love the contrast between purple and green.:yummy:

The RH is about 40% right now.
It goes up to as high as 85% in the summer.
That's when things get moldy.

Those two plants are sisters, but they look totally different from each other.

They are exactly the same same height though.

The remaining parts of the window plants look finished.

There are very few yellow hairs left.

I'm going to chop and hang them.

I think I like the Indica type plant best.
I like purplish color (which is a dumb reason), and I kinda like the denser buds.

It should fit in the jar easier.

The Sativa type plant might be able to breathe a little better and be able to fend off mold better.

I'm quite curious to see what grows in the closet.

The kitchen and microwave stink pretty bad now. Lol

It's a 900 Watt microwave and I cooked the planter for 1/2 an hour.

I never try nuke the pots in micro..
How bad is the smell?

The smell isn't that strong, but it's not a very pleasant smell at all. Lol
It's kind of a hot humid swampy smell.

I remember cooking my soil in the oven years ago, trying to kill bugs, but I figure the microwave both heats it and radiates it.

I remember that you're not supposed to get it too hot or you'll start to burn it and make toxins.

I just had steam and it didn't dry out, so I think it's OK.

I figure 1/2 an hour was long enough to sterilize it.

I put the second planter in the garage, and scooped the top layer of mush off the top of the cooked one, then pulled out the stalk.

Now I've got some room for a few scoops of soil from the closet plant to hopefully reintroduce some soil mites into the planter.

I'll make sure it cools down first.

I just kept an eye on it, and cooked it for ten minutes at a time.

There was lots of water still in the planter. It was quite heavy and water kept coming out the bottom of the planter.
I kept draining the water off the bottom so it wouldn't get into the microwave.

I figure that it was long enough because it was steaming pretty good and I didn't want to boil it dry.
