detailed spectrum info - thinking the full spectrum would be good for veg, red/white/mb for flower?

Looking at the charts, they do not seem to understand the spectrum cannabis prefers, or, it was not designed for cannabis

Check out Amare Technologies (designed by a grower for growers) P3, which is 300w MSRP $695, but you can still get holiday 25% discount

The Amare looks cool! No doubt it will get the job done.

So the spectrum on the bottom of the PL chart "EBloom" is probaby the cannabis-designed spectrum also referred to as "Cannablüm" at 2.7 umol/J. Still I'd go for the red/white/medium blue one for a little more white light and 2.6 umol/J efficiency.

I'm going to make some calls this week and see if I can get the price down if I buy 3 of them. Maybe Cannablüm is cheaper, I will find out. Before dissing PL too much over the price compare them to Lumigrow, their lights only do 1.7 umol/J:

I heard back from the distributor, the price per fixture is more than a Lumigrow 325 but under $1,000. PL does recommend "ebloom" - Cannablüm - it is specifically designed for sole-source cannabis flower lighting. Very high red/blue ratio - it's 1:1:8 blue/green/red but still full spectrum. Still twice the blue of HPS - it's approximately what you get if you combine a MH with an HPS, except at 2.7 umol/J. Full spectrum recommended for veg. at 2.3 umol/J with 30% blue.

wow, I've never paid this much for lights but I have the money so WTF. It looks like a lot of the cost is the aluminum fixture which is basically an 18-lb heat sink that eliminates the need for fans. I believe they are also PL's first commercial fixture to run on 120v.

Time to celebrate legalization and kick HPS to the curb, hello 2.7 umol/J!!! Two of these babies are going to blast my 4X4 tent with 1700 PPF of light. I will start a new thread when they arrive, hopefully within a couple weeks.
