Just an FYI regarding Pro-Mix. It's actually a highly recommended product to use for soil blocking. What is soil blocking, one might ask?
Just watch this:

Apparently, Pro-Mix is preferred because it's a coir-peat combination, which seems to work best for soil blocking. Seems to me that it's the perfect stuff to start any seeds in, irrespective of whether or not it's been formed into blocks.
Vhghost this should work for you
veg
per gallon of medium:
200 ml worm castings
50 ml alfalfa
25 ml dolomite
15 ml blood meal
5 ml bone meal
5 ml greensand
flowering
per gallon of medium:
200 ml worm castings
30 ml alfalfa
20 ml dolomite
5 ml blood meal
10 ml bone meal
5 ml greensand
5 ml bat guano
make teas with the liquid kelp and molasses, + whatever the plants need until week 5 of flower and water the rest of the way on an 8-9 week strain
if you can, get some calcitic lime aka calcium carbonate and use that 10ml per gallon with only 5ml dolomite per gallon in both mixes.. dolomite provides too much Mg by itself an excess Mg leads to a harsher smoke ime
C-Ray, I'm interested in your reasoning on giving advice to use 2 different soil mixes for veg and flower?
Can you please explain?
Thanks,
jerry.
most plants will veg fine in a flowering mix but certain plants are sensitive to P and veg better in a mix with less P and more N ime
N for veg and P for flower is a hydroponic myth and the essence of Stoner Science - no offence intended or meant.
There is no such thing as a "flowering mix" in a real organic garden.
NPK is a myth perpetuated by fertilizer companies.
Best,
Jerry.
