Opening a clone only shop?

as far as im concerned strain selection and consistent availability tell me all i need to know about whoever is selling clones(or seeds even). most all dispensary's i have been to either have unknown or unrecognizable clone selection and not to many seem healthy or look desirable.
if you had gypsy's list of seeds as clones, consistently available and reliably healthy then yes, you have a market. IME the couple dozen seeds i have popped have looked and outperformed the locally sourced clones growing in the handful of gardens i have seen but YMMV. that being said clones sell fast, and are never around for long, i think the biggest problem would be plant count...

U could never generate enuff revenue to support the store front from just one location....
there is a reason why dispensaries offer ....SO so many products....to help off-set the coast of the operation..... clones alone couldn't support the whole thing....
even if U had a BIG time reputation and VERIFIABLE genetic sources....
U'd have to start price gouging for the elites.....GSC...500 bucks per....etc...
which in it self is a dastardly deed......

even if you would not go to federal prison, you will always have to be ahead of the curb too. In 6 months cookies will just be another over crossed og type situation, and something different will have replaced it. things move in fads. It 's kinda like knowing which new product will be booming so to invest in that. plus you cant have that many rooted clones in a store front. go above 99 openly plants and your gonna have a bad time.
Then you have people like me that would buy one cut and give it out to 800 people for free.

man theres a shop in austria and they do just that, sell clones. i think theyre even here on icmag, called flowery fields.
however laws and the market there are very different from cali.
i dont know about the laws in cali but i do know that in europe the market isnt as hyped up as in the USA. market in the USA seems to bell about whats the next big thing. kush this, cookies that...
in europe theres less hype so theres no problems selling clones of proven and old strains and less of a need to always have the newest and freshest shit.
but if you have a hookup for legit cuts that consistenly supplies you with the new shit and are cool with the law then i dont see why it cant be done.

It's not a bad idea but it's not the best idea. I've known a guy or 2 that have tried this. For 1 clones have a shelf life. Rather quick shelf life at that. These must really be sold within 2 weeks of being rooted. Unless you want to transplant and start teens. Plant count is another thing but people touched on that 1. Also cleanliness and attention to detail must really be your specialty. If you have a bad fungus or bug outbreak your stock is garbage. 3rd main biggie is genetics. Unless you have a lifetime of mothers collected that you're all familiar with this is why clone business goes belly up. If you think you can have reliable strangers bringing you their clones think again. This is truly the problem with so much mis-info, lies, BS about the clone game.
But IF you have the REAL deal clones , reputable sources and vast knowledge on these cuts you may be end up being THE DUDE.

Legit genetics is not a problem.. Have plenty of that. For you guys saying you can't generate enough revenue, I don't think you have been into some of the popular dispos in so cal. They go through hundreds of clones a day and sell out everyday. Look at Progressive Options. They are a clone only spot and have been open for years. They also have a terrible reputation. People go into shops and come out with 50 plus clones each everyday all day. I'm curious about the 99 plant count comments. Every dispensary I've been in has hundreds of clones just chillin on he shelves waiting to leave.

After some thinking I remembered that the reason they can go over 99 is actually because the federal count has been moved up to 500.
Keep overgrowing it's working.

Good idea if done with the right execution could be something special. But like most special things, the Feds WILL shut you down. We had an awesome clone shop here and the Feds came in and cleaned out his stock said don't open up shop and took over 700 moms in the process. No arrests no charges....so if you like being robbed, this is the project for you.
anyways, back on topic, lol. There IS a clone only place in the San Fernando Valley, in Pacioma, usually have a REAL GOOD genetic database. if you pre-order, you could get up to 150 different strains to select from. im new so i dunno if i can post the name of the place here. i have used them for my last 6 grows.
Man just imagine all the growers going in and out of there with all the bugs and b.s. all over them and then looking through the clones.
I am weird I guess but I hate going to hydro shops as well or hang out with other growers just because I am that damn paranoid about bringing something back to my girls.
I would have a quarantine setup, people can order by looking through the glass at the clones they want BUT not touch them.
Have them in a killer sterile like environment so not every random pothead who just got some huge batch of spider mites and needs new clones doesn't come in and wreck shit.

^over the years I have had every pest. I can get rid of all of them no worries. so far the most annoying has been thrips. I hate those fuckers.
^oh ya I forgot about PM. I live in very dry mountains. my chips wont even get stale. lol
