Just had some quickdried bits of the bubba in a vaporizer last night and dear god what was the breeder thinking ?? It's straight valium hahaha

I'm afraid the SIL run on my big tent got ruined by aphids, but so far the 100% SILs tent seems spotless...

All the plants required bamboo skewers and tying to support them as all were leaning down due to weight...

Penetration seems on par with my HML, while the SILs can be placed much closer to the canopy with no ill effects.

I'd say calyxes look bigger on this SIL run vs the HPS, more swollen, maybe softer than under other HPS but very appealing, with a spotless look.

Another vastly improved area vs previous HPS run: aroma. This lady reeks since week 3d, to what finally became a fruity "red" sandalwood taste with a rather potent incense overtone, rounded with hints of patchouli.

Never thought feeling like smoking a (hippie! ) perfume could be enjoyable... but it is, and it's how it feels, so strong scents you actually think that. if you're into hazes, it's a blast.

Also resinated like crazy this time.

had a perfumy afgan, gave it away, couldnt smoke it, was too much, now im running a cut that smells like strawberry yogurt, i keep thinking ive left a bowl of unfinished yogurt somewhere

Very nice plants Medfinder and Repuk, great looking flowers.
I agree on the differences between HPS and SIL, I see the same here and have therefore never gone back to oldschool HID lighting.
In the beginning I was a bit worried about penetration, thinking I would end up on the t5 side... but no, the SILs pack a punch.
I wear a hat and sunglasses when working during lights on ;-)

I have notices the same discolorations going on across a couple different strains. After the last run I thought it was lack of phosphouros and but a bit more bone meal in my new soil mix for this round, but still the same. The bubba has it, the blue dream not. I see similarities in discolourations in the plants of a few other SIL growers.
What deficiency you reckon causes this specific type of colour ??

They're tasty though, vaped some quick dried bubba kush last night,
a psychedelic valium with coffee taste (??) and the blue dream today, much more motivational, and great citrusy taste.

No, Kalichakra from Mandala Seeds, though I never found a pheno like this and have grown Kalichakra several times... it tastes ever more potent than it smells.

So far is the only mom I'm keeping, hope it reaches optimal potency this time, which looks like, because I see plenty of trichomes even on the nerves on the underside of leaves!

I agree, it can be overwhelming for some, too perfumey, Old School Sativa from the 60-70's on steroids... But effect is really nice, instant mood enhancer, ecstatic and arousing...

Curious, how do you dry samples for vaping? I've tried rolling them on a paper towel and leaving them on top of a router...

Regarding discolorations/deficiencies, I'm seeing similar patterns, each strain is different and have a different tolerance for the SILs proximity to the canopy, which has an impact on them, sometimes just raising them an inch or two can make a world of difference.

So far, only in this grow I'm not seeing discolorations yet; the difference I think it's on the Yara SOP (Potassium Sulphate, I never go past EC 1.3 ever) I've been feeding with the Canna A+B/PK since day 1 of week 1 up to 9th.

The only adjustment I did when I felt uneasiness on the plant was raising the SILs a couple inches.

Something I've been thinking is feeding them diatomaceous earth too (already use it for the hens) not only as a preventive but for the added silicon, etc.

I also have the hunch this happens due to increased metabolic rates, so once you nail it, you'll get perfect growing... have noticed plants with deficiencies are weaker to pests, making them more vulnerable to catch something on the worst time: late flowering.

since i dont save history on this pc i cant bother to find it all again, but what i was reading led me to think i had something to do with a few micro nutes (boron and iron mainly) and less co2 and ph(could be water related) swings late flower
i read this dutch greenhouse mag and it got me thinking, since we somewhat have a greenhouse, on a small scale, and since the dutch greenhouses are "closed room" i felt i was on to something, at least gave me some pointers to try next grow so well see in 5 months

Have also 6 domestic females from a grail region in veg, we will see if that's the oldschool one I hope so, one of them stem rub smells like fresh painted real paint, they also look unique I think

- Latest 3 days flush straight tap water PH'd to 5.6
- Automated fertigation dripping: 1hour once per day. Each dripper flows 3,6L per hour, this was a thirsty plant so got two drippers. About 5% runoff.

This single plant would have fully populated the tent, I'm sure quality would have been even higher if she wouldn't have been cramped in there.

Don't want to monopolize the thread, more pics and details on the SIL Tent journal thread.

The amount of resin on this run is unbelievable, nugs may be slightly smaller than from the HPS run, but there are much more bud sites, with really homogeneous sizes, almost down to the pot. Really happy with the Kelvin mix used, plenty of resin even on the underneath of leaves...

As can be seen all plants finished with decent amount of green, which should be the case with BtB at least.
