Ottoman, no, this is the year of the home dogs. Only the giants bet fits that profile.
Bet the home dogs the rest of the year, you'll end up happy, and everyone will get nice christmas gifts.
this is known.
9er D is going to eviscerate the cards. Picks and sacks all day long, baby!!! If they can get their offense rolling and play more than one half of decent football, it's a lock.
Had Foles as my starter until 5 minutes ago....I'm starting Peyton because...well....I really think they are in revenge mode...12th man or no....
Baba, I hear what your saying but honestly how many games during the year will the Jags be the favorite away or at home. They don't fall into the category of smart bet just because they're a home dog IMO. Although I'll admit when they get double digits points I think out of principal you take that bet. As far as the niners go I am more into number than anything else and the numbers tell me that the niners dominate zona even on the road.
I guess it's official: Arizona's going to win the West. With Drew Stanton under center. Who? Exactly.
SF plays well in the 1st half, second half is another story. Abandoning the run? That's not their identity. But the oline isnt as stout as last year, maybe thats why?
Vernon davis was missed but stevie johnson picked up some slack. Kaepernicks still got weapons out there, just not getting it done in the second half.
The penalties hurt. Some were bad calls, as some always are, but overall they're just killer. Can't get the opponent off the field on third down, their defensive depth is less this year and they cant afford to keep extending drives for the opposition.
Guess I was wrong about Denver. Thought they would pull it out, but the Hawks served them more of the same dish from the Superbowl until Denver tied it up. Their D performed admirably, especially in the 4th quarter, but was gassed in overtime and Russell Wilson did his best Steve Young impression, picking up 5-6 yds a run, moving the chains until Lynch could finish it off. Good win for them. This season hasn't been a romp for them, except for week 1, but they're a complete team for sure.
Great game between the seahawks and broncos. Seattle almost lost it. Denver made two many mistakes and turnovers to win in the 12th man stadium and they still almost won. I was surprised. Its gonna be a fun to watch who wins the nfc west I know Arizona has a tough team.
I give props to Arizona. I'm liking the season so far. I'm 5/6 last week. I like to see the underdogs. My self I ride with 9ers ...but I had already known was gonna be an "interesting" season.
Niners started 1-2 last couple of years, still made the playoffs. They should be fine. If not maybe Harbaugh goes to Michigan. They might be willing to pay 7-8+ mil a year for a winning coach.
had this discussion yesterday with some of the dudes I work with...imho harbs isn't "planning" on going anywhere...unless for some crazy reason that jed York pulls the plug on him he's in the bay to stay for a while...the turnaround from the last decade is enough to keep his job regardless of the elusive quest for six...besides, are there really any better options out there for the 49ers? if there is I'm not seeing it. Greg Roman's job is in jeopardy more than anyone's in my opinion...if we have the weapons to be a top 5 offense and were still a bottom 5 offense it all falls on him...he's predictable, has struggled to make 2nd half adjustments, stops running plays that are being successful etc....if we get a Lombardi he'll be the head coach of some struggling team next season, if we don't hopefully we find someone that will contribute to that goal a bit more efficiently, and he's working for some other team.
I can almost guarantee that York doesn't have a problem paying 8milly a season for a coach that turned the franchise from the laughing stock of the league into a team that has been in 3 championship games and a super bowl over the last 3 seasons...what other coach has done that recently?
