Hi IC family

:plant grow:
Let's grow cannabis.

Greetings from my new landing spot. After a couple years out of growing due to a relocation to a new state and the birth of a kiddo, I've broken out the seed storage & gotten my hands dirty again in some soil. I've have turned a few harvests over and got the tent dialed in (mostly).

Where I now live, relative to where I came from in California, the medical market sucks. It is the worst embodiment of capitalist medicine. Same cuts in every shop, badly grown, and an overpriced market. So to get wife the rec and medical cannabis she wants, here we are again.

But mostly, I miss growing my girls and sharing with people the cool plants I find. I dont have many grower friends here.

The immediate grow goals are to find some decent mothers to throw into regular rotation while I continue to explore my too large seed catalog. Long term is to find some plants with excellent effect and qualities and line bread or cross to meet my environmental conditions, as well hold a seed lot as reserves of said acclimatized lines.

Right now though, just popping small seed lots and flowering promising plants.

Currently flowering:

I really have found a couple traits I like in the nevils haze mango strain as a whole and have been growing it out for a long time to find a good representative of the combined traits. The NHM #11 was a cut that resulted from selection of this MNS strain, it has the growth structure, smell and effect, and the only detriment was its excessive airy buds. The cut was lost in my move, and these seeds are the last of her genetics. I have the same cross with open pollination as well with same GT male and many NHM females..

My upcoming (outdoor) plans include:

Balochistan
Mexican Jarilla
Highland Guerrero x Blueberry

Some drought resistant plants that I hope suit this climate. First outdoor grow in many years, now legal here.

Future indoor plans

SSSDH selection (mothers/fathers)
American Sativas selections (mothers, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Mexicans)
Golden tiger selections(All 3 generations)
Central America crosses
Haze crosses (Seedsman, Ace, Bro grim, Bodhi, Mr nice)
Bodhi seeds preservations
...more

Thanks for stopping in:tiphat:

Outdoor starts.

4/7 above ground. 2/2 x balochi 1/3 jarilla and1/3 gurreroberry f2. The last two are tropical girls, the soil temp is about 74*F. Straight into soil with all my beans these days. The Guerrero berry are older seed lot, so I dont know home many ill get there.

This seed lot is all for outdoor season. I will veg them to a decentsize before putting them into outdoor pots.. It is much too hot to plant anything right now, I'm in a desert. We have a long dry(er) winter after summer monsoons. I hope these do well here.

Hi star. Thanks for checking this out

I hope this thread proves entertaining for everyone.

This is the full tent. It looks like there is a gap, but that is a squat Connoisseur cookies that needs a stool installed.

This is nev haze mango x GT

I like the resin development on the bracts. This to me is a very good sign this early considering her heritage. She got some meao Thai in her.

Pure kush eurkle x nevils haze mango

Very strong lemon & mango sent. Maybe lemons ontop of meaty haze, which is to me how 'mango' terps kinda always smelled. Let's say right now, it is sweet lemon and slight meat.

You are far too kind.

I grow in organic soil, using a modified and a fortified coots mix rrecipe. I have recycled this batch for a few runs,, it's been around for years. Now, I am slowly turning it over to a new mix. I really like kelp teas and some top dressing early flower.

If you're in the US check out build a soil, they have everything I use as well as some bangin' ready made 'just water's soil mixes. They do it right. I am also really liking coast of Maine fertilizer (kelp & crustacean one) in tea and top dress. And i can barely afford it, but dragon fly earth medicine makes killer tea mixes. All of these are done exceedingly sparingly, mostly water and pest control agents (fungal & organic, no chem here baby)

They are grown under an LED panel, something pretty new to me. I add a lot of oyster flower and Sulpomag now, and it works well.

Thanks for asking

Two Balochistan on the right, two Guerrero berry sharing a cup and a single jarilla de Sinaloa. Probably all she wrote for germination. Just need a few females for outside.

Things are developing nicely. The smell in the tent is heavenly. Haze, lemons, ripe fruit, and a gas/fuel+cookies plant.

Nevils haze mango

Smells of mango and lemon, looks like a longer flower pheno

Documenting nevils haze mango bud, a pretty typical phenotype expression. In a Mr Nice pack of seeds, you'd expect to find 60-75% of these I'd wager. The most common pheno for sure. More astringent smells layering ontop of the mango & lemon. This pheno in the past, after a long cure, gets either mango terps or cat piss. When burned, head turning incense/church. I think I keep growing this one line because of that mango terp pheno, there's, I think, like really good ones in there. Nevils haze power and ceiling with good mango haze terps. Either I haven't figured how she likes to be grown perfect, or I haven't found all of the criteria I hope this gene pool contains. I'll probable keep popping these beans one or two every few grows, as I've always done, for years to come.

After about 20 nevils haze mango females, I found a cool mango terp lady with absolutely gorgeous growth patterns. Called her a11. She was regular and predictable in her symmetry and growth, mothered well, she had great terps, and was very good smoke if only slightly lacking in potency. The golden tiger male from gen 1(meao Thai x old killer) gives strength and cranks up the frost. Terps from most mothers come thru in f1 generations. I have more of the nhm gt cross, different varied females.. However, I think very limited nhm a11 x gt only a handful of beans left. Thank God this cutting rooted, I'll try to find more beans eventually and breed more f2. This line will need some work, structural support needs improvement. I hope to preserve bract frost. This is all pending good smokes or at least some indicator of potential. I do not have a timeliness for this linework.
