That's a shame....the best stargazing I ever did was in Afghanistan. When the FOB is pitch black at night the view overhead is incredible. That was the first time I ever saw the Milky Way galaxy...I didn't even know it was supposed to be visible until then. Soooo many billions of stars...it was unreal. Much easier to see then why ancient peoples would have been so fascinated by the night sky. I had no idea there were so damn many stars...lol. In any city or even most countrysides anywhere in the country, it's way too bright to see most of what actually could be visible. We need to find a way to end light pollution...
