On topic, I will give it 2-3 days to see if anything will happen...The drying/crunching theory and the "white masses" gathering sounds really reasonable and logical.

Hoping for the best obviously.

Heres just another shot of another bud, I checked it under high resoution and saw nothing other than trichs.

I also smoked a small nug that was from the "ok looking" batch at first, I mixed em after that figuring out that I was probably a bit too paranoid and after I got a few macros. I must admit, there didn't seem nothing wrong...It was nice and dry, burnt to white ash, taste was pretty much the same as it was before, a bit smoother even perhaps. The High is still the same - intense headhigh. Almost like your head has an indica high on it's own. really pleasant feeling. Maybe I am just gettin the mold paranoia thingie...

Anyways I'm pretty sure we'll know the answer in a few days... Until then - what's the case with the mold spores and ISO / BHO then?

Why are so many people telling the OP to hash or bho his mouldy bud, i was always under the impression that mould spores are tiny little things and iso or bho methods do not remove the spores.

nah youre correct.
throw that shit away if theres mold in it. only thing you can do unless you want some nice spores to spread in your lungs or catch some cool allergies.

I smoked some white cobweb infected bud after a seven day water cure with no ill side effects. Maybe I got lucky...

If the mold spores are dead, reasoning tells me that they aren't going to hurt your lungs anymore than inhaling plant matter anyways. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Smoking moldy bud is dangerous for sure. Though, admittedly, those who do get sick from the smoking moldy bud have a low immune system to begin with.

I would think it would be okay to smoke the 'okay' looking bits. When I started to get mold on my bud, I quick dried it in the oven till it was crisp. The smoke was harsh and didnt taste all that great but I cut the infected looking bits off and nothing suspicious progressed.

Good luck. But IMO, smoking moldy bud is risky, especially if your going to be smoking a lot of it...

it propably wont kill you if you smoke moldy buds once or even twice. but personally i got into grow so i can smoke the best and not to smoke contaminated buds and gamble on getting allergies or other illnesses from it. i throw that shit away, to each his own.

i know its hard. one time i had to throw away over half of my harvest out of my own stupidity i nearly cried lol.

Well ISO has worked for me, using paper coffee filters... Got some very good amber that smoked so smooth.

I've done it...saves the whole bud!

Keep jars away from the shower...Put a piece of paper towel inside the jar to check how wet it is during cure.
