Trimming is a bitch, but I just think about the dollar signs as the jars fill up... :D

Good to hear you're sticking with coco. It's the best. Can't wait to see the next round.

AW - thanks for dropping by and the rep hit, yeah I was wondering if someone might give me grief since I am a very weird grower, Republican (very liberal one though s/b a Libertarian....which is about as popular as a Giants fan in Dodger's stadium right now here in Santa Cruz) , I love old Wolf B. been listening to him since we 1st went into Iraq (damn we got to get our boys and girls out of their).

Bobblehead - Hey man Thank you for all your help really I appreciate it! I just got some very KEY read on my nutrients from DHF, I am STICKING with CoCo and it's only going to get better with bigger yields as I dial in this room, I really been enjoying seeing you build your dream room in your new place good luck buddy!

Now back to CNBC.......

Hey Gang;

Ok the trimming thing is getting REAL old lol, my hands hurt, I cannot watch anymore NCAA basketball and we are not done trimming, (today hopefully). Anyway................

Shout out to my man ----> DHF, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I was struggling with an issue as to why I had 1) yelllowing tinge to my plants, ongoing issue ever since I went to CoCo, 2) An unusually purple stems which I thought was due to the strain I was growing, WRONG, ran a question by DHF and he explained to me one of the main issue you need to be aware of running CoCO is a "Cal-Mag" defficiency issue...HELLO! I never knew that! So it is 4:09am in the morning here in Cali (back pain woke me up) and I am waiting for my Hydro strore to open then I am getting some Botanicare Cal-Mag, I also read that it is concentrated form of Cal-Mag and to start off with 1/2 of what they suggest using and build from their since it can blast your ppm's. If anyone have ANY other suggesting using this form of Cal-Mag I am not too proud to admit I am still willing to learn, again a personal shout out to DHF for once again helping me, thank you.

And now for your bud porn pleasure a few more after harvey pics;

I hate SMALL jars;

SMOKE REPORT #1

SMOKE REPORT #1

Here is my first smoke report on the "90 Day Wonder"

This is an very old strain that was extremely popular back in 94 - 99 here in Santa Cruz that has been kept alive by local breeders/grower friends I know. It is mainly a Sativa/Indica Hybrid which leans heavily on the Sativa side 75/25. This report is direct from a patient of mine suffering from severe multiple back-injury and surguries pain managment and is trying to stay off the morphine/opiode treatment regime;

90 Day Wonder - "found it a lot of fun , very up , playful and I can still work if I had too. Good results on pain as well . I like this very much - can still function but nice high. A really nice fun clear high."

Hey Bro.........The biggest thing with coco and cal/mag issues is the fact that coco`s "cation exchange capacity" causes the medium to hold onto calcium , magnesium , and potassium to a certain level before it will release the shit back to the plants for proper uptake.....

Magnesium issues show up as yellowish leaves/interveinal chlorosis , and calcium issues show up after that with brown spots on the leaves.....

Once that happens , ph goes wonky and locks out calcium uptake and growth comes to a screeching halt....

If yas run R/O water , cal/mag supplements to the tune of 5 ml per gal is paramount in importance for continued plant health , and I upped it to 7-8 ml per gal with my clone only Chem D cal/mag whore and was using 1/2 tapwater with cal/mag already inherent , and 1/2 R/O......

5 ml per gal gives R/O water an extra 200-250 ppm`s thereabouts , but is very much needed in coco setups fer dialed results.......

When I did Heath`s racks , I ran 20% runoff to make sure no residual salt buildups occurred in my coco , but nowadays folks run H&G`s "dripclean" with no runoff and excellent results....

Mrk.....Please getchas some dripclean ta go along with your cal/mag ftw......Shit`s expensive but lasts forever at 1 ml per gal......

Also........Beware of OLD Botanicare Cal/Mag on the shelves at hydro stores , cuz it`ll fuck your plants up with the quickness.....

Make sure yours is golden and clear , not cloudy with shit separated and sittin on the bottom of the container......

Have seen many folks scratch head and ass over why things went sideways , when it was just old shit they`d bought that had precipitated and fallen out of suspension.....

Dripclean and Cal/Mag FTW with coco.....guaranteed.....

Peace.....DHF....:ying:....

freds a continual dose of calmag wont become toxic in the plants, i thought i caused a phosphorus lockout due to loading the pant with to much calmag....

i use supernatural stay green calmag with a red cross on the front of the bottle, know it? anyway the shit in this bottle is separated with thick green at the bottom and light allmost transparent on the top, does that mean its fucked?

hhhmmmmm WTF is going on have been growing with coco for years not since i read about calmag issues i gotem like i brought it on my poor ole plants......

D

DHF

LL.....You got bullshit old "sittin on the shelf too long" Cal/Mag.......but....

I`ve never seen those Euro products Bro ....Botanicare CalMag+ was all I ever used once I commited to full blown out coco......

If the shit`s not amberish and clear , it`s out of suspension and old.......Botanicare Cal/Mag that is.....

If your`s has precipitated and fallen outta suspension , it`s worthless IME LL......

Prolly what`s been exacerbating your issues with plants you`ve run before with better growth records....

Take tha shit back and get some NEW product.....Hydro whore`s are notorious for not replenishing supplies/nutrients/supplements till all initial orders/inventory turn over....

DO NOT let em tell yas that`s how it`s supposedta look....

Good luck Bro.....DHF...:ying:....

Well my Cal-Mag was clear and amber in color (I just checked it out lol), thanks again DHF I am almost sure that was a major issue in less than spectacular last run.

OK Final numbers.....

OK Final numbers.....

OK here goes I am real embarressed to post these since so many peeps are knocking it out of the park, but I had a real bad Cal-Mag deficiency issue, also I was 1200 watts under the minimum for my room size.

I am upping my exhaust and intake fans for better air circulation, so a LOT of problems are being addressed.

Live and learn I guess (shrug).

Ok we pulled 1.59 lbs, 716 grams so that is .358 GPW(?) 2000 / 716 = .358..... christ I suck.

Ok well onto the next run.

D

DHF

Bro......It only gets better from here......Takes some folks yrs ta dial their setups cuz they never stop ta dial 1 individual strain/variety , along with the perfect environment and watts per sq ft it takes ta squeeze every available gram from said setup......

Vertical grows are not easy without having been carefully thought out......

Mediums are not easyta dial.....Many variables that create that "X" factor to keep yer girls from bein all they can be........

Calcium uptake/absorption is key to most other important plant functions with ANY medium , coco just likesta hold on to it , and if yas don`t keep enough in there for the plants best interest AND the medium holdin onto all it can , then shit get`s wonky ph wise and lockouts/imbalances pop up .....

"Clone only" Chem D was a bitch to root , a cal/mag whore from Hell ta dial and get consistent results from , but...once figured out , that`s as closeta old school genetics as I`ve ever had , and I`ve seen a few choice hybrids in my day...

MRk....You know what ta do.......Respect for tellin it like it is......Not many folks online are willing ta be upfront about their shortcomings......

Peace....DHF....:ying:.....

Again thanks for all the help blessings to all!

Hey gang;

I am going to start a new grow journal with the new and improved Scrog/Vert..... attempt to get closer to 1.5 gpw room.

Here are some of the improvements we are working on atm for the new room;

1) Added shelf - plant count up to 51 plants shooting for 60.
2) Adding 1200 watts s/b picking up (2) 600 digital ballast's this Friday.
3) We still need to cover everything in Reflectix (where do I get that stuff? Any hydro store? cuz mine doesn't sell it? (shrug)
4) We still need to get at LEAST a 750 cfm exhaust fan and bigger intake fan (I have in veg tent a 450 that will work fine) we just need to move a few inline fans around and purchase a new 750cfm fan but funds are tight (as always)

I will post new pictures once all upgrades are in and start a new thread. My goal next time is at least 1 GPW with a future goal of 1.3 - 1.5 GPW but I am going to have to go to a complete re-design possibly VERY similar to what Bobblehead is currently building.

Grow on my brothers!
