I seriously never thought I'd do this, but I might apply to get a FL mmj card. I'll still continue to grow my own but at almost 64 it is just getting harder to mix soil, LST, move pots, carry water, etc. But I have some questions and would really appreciate anyone that has gotten a card here in FL to respond.
My regular doctor isn't on their list of qualified doctors. So I called his office and apparently they refer patients to this place called mjdocs. So I looked at their website. For $169 they do the recommendation, Then it's $75 to apply for a card. The department is linked to the driver's license department so they can automatically get your picture there. All that seems pretty straight forward.
My confusion is mostly with the doctor recommendation. Mjdocs recommendation is good for 7 months. Yet the card is good for a year. Am I supposed to go back to mjdocs after 7 months and pay $169 again? Logically, it would seem that any qualifying condition would still be in effect so you wouldn't need to go back but I'm just not sure.
I have heard that the stuff you can buy at these dispensaries is pretty much schwag. So I plan to still grow my own and just use the card in dry periods.
BTW, I have read seasonal residents can get a card too. You'd have to upload a photo to them though. And you need to send them 2 proofs of residence like utility bills. I have no clue what you'd do if you were staying at a "relatives" and getting your card like that.
